PEG-free, cold-preparable, prolonged-stability, low-viscosity, fine oil-in-water emulsions, their preparation from preferably clear oil phases or via preferably clear to transparent microemulsion-like concentrates, the corresponding oil phases or microemulsion-like concentrates and the use of the inventive emulsions for producing cosmetic, dermatological, pharmaceutical or industrial formulations, especially for the production of impregnating emulsions for wet wipes or for sprayable care emulsions are provided.

Cold-preparable, low-viscosity and prolonged-stability cosmetic emulsions

Low-viscosity, finely divided oil-in-water emulsions with long-term stability, comprising an emulsifier combination of noncarbohydrate polyol partial esters of linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated fatty acids having 6 to 22 carbon atoms (emulsifier component A) and emulsifiers based on carbohydrate (emulsifier component B), one or more oils, and preservative are provided. Additionally, the present invention provides for the preparation of the emulsions from concentrates, the corresponding concentrates, and the use of the emulsions according to the invention for producing cosmetic, dermatological or pharmaceutical preparations, in particular for producing impregnation emulsions for wet wipes.

Cosmetic emulsions with long-term stability

The present invention relates to polyglycerol partial esters of polyhydroxystearic acid and polyfunctional carboxylic acids which are obtainable by esterification of a polyglycerol mixture with polyhydroxystearic acid where N=1 to 10, preferably 2 to 8, in particular 3 to 5 units and dimer fatty acids which have been obtained by catalytic dimerization of unsaturated fatty acids having 12 to 22 C atoms and have an average functionality of 2 to 3, and/or with aliphatic, linear or branched dicarboxylic acids having a chain length of 2 to 16 C atoms and additionally saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched fatty acids having 6 to 22 C atoms, preferably 12 to 18 C atoms, the degree of esterification of the polyglycerol mixture being between 20 and 75%, preferably 40 to 70%.
