The two lateral walls, the rear face and front face together connect the lower and upper faces, such that a cavity is formed between the two lateral walls, the rear face, front face, and lower and upper faces. The lower face has, in the region of the front face, a lower opening for providing access. The upper face has, in the region of the rear face, an upper opening for providing access into the cavity.

The present disclosure relates to a charging cable system, having a charging cable with a plurality of individual conductors running within the charging cable to transfer a charging current and with a cable connection part for connecting the charging cable to the stored energy source of an electrically driven vehicle. According to the present disclosure, at least one cooling channel runs within the charging cable, in which cooling channel a cooling medium is guided to the cable connection part, and in the cable connection part valve means are provided for returning the cooling medium to the charging cable. The charging cable is designed such that after this return, the cooling medium flows at least partially around the individual conductors.

The present disclosure relates to a charging plug for transmitting a charging current to an electrically operable vehicle, having multiple contact elements for electrically contacting the charging plug with contact elements of a charging socket. According to the present disclosure, the charging plug has a conical or cylindrical plug body, on the outer face of which multiple contact paths that run concentrically about the plug body are formed in a distributed manner in the axial direction. The present disclosure additionally relates to a charging plug/charging socket system comprising such a charging plug and a charging socket with a hollow socket body into which the plug body of the charging plug can be inserted, wherein contact surfaces which run concentrically in the socket body are formed on the inner face of the socket body.
