A method and system are provided including a search module; a display; a memory storing processor-executable steps; and a search processor coupled to the memory, and in communication with the mapper module and operative to execute the processor-executable process steps to cause the system to: present a user interface on a display, the user interface including a user-entry field to receive a query, wherein the query includes one or more terms; receive the query in the user-entry field; in response to the received query, parse the query; determine whether any of the one or more terms of the parsed query are object candidates; determine, for each object candidate, one or more available actions for the object candidate; generate a list of one or more selectable objects; and display the list of one or more selectable objects on a user interface. Simplified access for core business with enterprise search

Systems and techniques to generate statistical reports on transactions conducted via an electronic marketplace are based on data extracted from the transaction documents. In general, in one implementation, the technique includes receiving documents sent through an electronic marketplace, with each document including multiple data fields. Data is extracted from predetermined document data fields. The extracted data relates to a predetermined statistical category of transactions conducted through the electronic marketplace. The extracted data is stored, and a report corresponding to the predetermined statistical category is provided. The report includes an aggregation of the stored extracted data associated with the predetermined statistical category. In some implementations, a report may be generated that relates to information regarding global spending according to the buyer, seller, time period, product type, contract, and/or other parameters.

Collection and analysis of trading data in an electronic marketplace

Systems and techniques to generate statistical reports on transactions conducted via an electronic marketplace are based on data extracted from the transaction documents. In general, in one implementation, the technique includes receiving documents sent through an electronic marketplace, and extracting data from the documents. The extracted data may relate to a predetermined statistical category of transactions conducted through the electronic marketplace. The extracted data may be stored for each document, and the stored data may be aggregated according to the predetermined statistical category. In some implementations, a report may be generated that relates to a document flow analysis for documents sent through the marketplace according to the buyer, seller, time period, document type, and/or other parameters.
