The invention describes a belt buckle () for a motor vehicle comprising a belt buckle housing () as well as a lighting unit () present in the area of a tongue insertion opening () and including a lamp () and a light conductor (). A front panel () surrounding the tongue insertion opening () is provided which limits the belt buckle () on the end face. The front panel () is coupled to the belt buckle housing () via at least one detent mechanism () such that the light conductor () provided at least partially between the front panel () and the belt buckle housing () is aligned. The invention further describes a method for manufacturing a belt buckle ().

A belt buckle includes a casing () and an illumination system () present in the area of a locking tongue insertion opening (). The illumination system () includes a lamp () and a light conductor (') having a light emission area, and the light conductor (&#x2032;) includes an annular portion (&#x2032;) which surrounds at least a major part of the locking tongue insertion opening ().

Seat belt buckle

A belt buckle for a vehicle seat belt. The belt buckle includes a frame in which at least one locking element adapted to lock a plug-in tongue insertable into the belt buckle and an ejection element adapted to eject the plug-in tongue are provided. Each of the ejection element and the locking element is adapted to adopt a locked position and a home position. The locking element is adjacent to a web of the ejection element in the home position and thus blocked in its home position. A belt buckle () for a seat belt includes a buckle housing (), a locking mechanism for locking a plug-in tongue inserted in the buckle housing (), a release button () which is movable in a first direction relative to the buckle housing () for unlocking the plug-in tongue, and a safety mechanism for preventing automatic displacement of the release button () in the first direction. The safety mechanism includes a mass body () movable in the first direction relative to the buckle housing () and a movably supported coupling lever () including an axis of rotation which is stationary relative to the buckle housing (). The coupling lever () is coupled to the mass body () and to the release button () so that, upon acceleration of the belt buckle () in a second direction opposed to the first direction, it transmits an inertia force acting on the mass body () in the first direction to the release button () in the opposite second direction.

A device for anchoring a belt buckle () comprises a fitting () including a first end portion () and a second end portion () as well as a central portion () provided between the two end portions (). A locking tongue has a base part, a webbing slot in the base part and a locking cam. The locking cam is movable between a rest position and a clamping position. A biasing means biases the locking cam towards the rest position. The locking cam can assume the rest position in which the belt webbing can pass freely through the webbing slot, a clamping position in which the locking cam presses the belt webbing against the clamping edge of the webbing slot, the biasing means being able to return the locking cam from the clamping position into the rest position, and a locking position in which the locking cam locks the belt webbing in the webbing slot, the biasing means not being able to return the locking cam from the locking position towards the rest position.
