Coupling segments having angled end faces are provided with stop members at their respective ends which prevent mis-alignment of the coupling segments during their assembly onto the adjacent ends of pipes or fittings. The stop member being crushed down during final tightening of the coupling to permit further limited lateral movement of the ends of the coupling segment, thus to provide a truly ridged coupling in which angling of the axes of the respective pipes or fittings is eliminated.

Mis-adjustment limiting segmented pipe coupling

A container for housing a liquid. The container including a fitment having barrier properties substantially equivalent to the container. To secure the fitment to the container, a sleeve is used to heat seal the fitment to the container. A check valve prohibits reintroduction of the liquid pharmaceutical into the container after dispensing through the fitment. Preferably, a second rigid container is provided for housing the container.

A pouch and coupler which is used for administering medical products includes a fluid reservoir section and a sterile section, with the coupler positioned within the sterile section. The reservoir being sealed such that the fluid cannot pass through the coupler. The coupler including a projection which extends through a seal into the reservoir so as to provide access through the coupler. The sterile section being openable to provide access to the coupler and provide a passage from the reservoir through the coupler to an administration set. In an alternative embodiment, the coupler includes a projecting poppet which extends through the coupler so as to provide the fluid access.

A gasket for use in a segmented pipe coupling has portions at its ends of greater radius than the radius of the portion intermediate the ends, thus enabling the pipe coupling to be applied to a pipe in the absence of lubricants.

A hingeable segmented pipe coupling includes dual or plural coupling segments which are hingeable relative to each other in the absence of transverse hinge pins, at least one pair of bolting pads including arcuate surfaces which roll with respect to each other, and each of which includes a fulcrum for engagement with a headed securing member associated with those bolting pads. In preferred embodiments, the bolting faces of the bolting pads are contoured to prevent rotational movement of the coupling segments about the axis of the securing member.
