Techniques relating to arbitration in a memory controller are disclosed. In some embodiments, the memory controller is configured to transition between read turns and writes turn according to a turn schedule. In some embodiments, the memory controller also receives reports from circuitry requesting memory transactions and determines a current latency tolerance value based on the reports. In some embodiments, the memory controller is configured to switch from a write turn to a read turn prior to a scheduled switch based on the current latency tolerance meeting a threshold value.

Write/read turn techniques based on latency tolerance

A method and apparatus for performing opportunistic refreshes of memory banks is disclosed. Refresh circuitry in a memory controller performs a refresh on each bank of a multi-bank memory at least once during a given refresh interval. At the beginning of an interval, memory banks for which there are no pending transactions (e.g., reads or writes) may be refreshed. During a first portion of the interval, refresh may be skipped for memory banks for which transactions are pending. In a second portion of the interval, refreshes are performed on memory banks that have not been refreshed during the interval, which may cause some memory transactions to be delayed.

System and method for performing per-bank memory refresh

Techniques relating to arbitration in a memory controller are disclosed. In some embodiments, the memory controller implements a per-bank priority-based arbitration scheme for different types of memory traffic (e.g., with different quality of service parameters). In some embodiments, the memory controller is configured to provide per-bank overrides to the arbitration scheme based on latency tolerance reported by one or more requesters sending a particular type of memory traffic. Various techniques disclosed herein may improve performance, improve fairness among different types of memory traffic, and/or reduce power consumption.

A memory controller includes a state machine that initiates a memory refresh of a DRAM (having a number of banks) by sending thereto a refresh command. Responsive to receiving the command, the DRAM may perform a per-bank refresh in which individual ones of the banks are refreshed in succession, one at a time. Upon receiving a high priority transaction, a determination is made as to the number of memory banks that have currently been refreshed in the per-bank refresh. If the number of banks refreshed is less than a threshold value, the per-bank refresh is aborted.

Systems and methods for locking and releasing detachable firearm magazines

This invention is a cooking sauce dispenser comprising an assembly of one or more tubular, squeezable containers having a circular opening in a plane at an oblique angle to the axis of the container and connected rotatably to a collar having a flow passage for each container. The flow passage for each container is attached to an individual, heat resistant flow tube which terminates in a drip proof flapper valve. The distal end of each flow tube fits into a common flow directing nozzle which contains a bristle brush for applying the sauce to food. The drip proof valves are designed to accommodate sauces of varying viscosities and sauces containing chunky ingredients. The bristle brush is detachable and easily replaced with brushes of varying stiffness. By rotating a particular container, the container is caused to extend at an acute angle from the axis of the dispenser. The rotated container is thus easily identified as having the sauce being used for a particular dish and is used as a handle when applying sauce to food. In addition, the acute angle provides a comfortable configuration for applying sauce to food and keeps the users hand out of the hot region directly above the food. When not in use, the dispeners is held upright in a stand configured for the unique shape of the dispenser. The stand can be mounted on virtually any surface. A transparent brush cap is included to protect and keep clean the applicator brush. The cap contains graduation marks and can be used as a mixing and measuring cup.
