The invention relates to a patient support for diagnostic apparatus, notably for an MRI apparatus, comprising a stretcher on which a patient can be arranged so as to be introduced into the diagnostic zone of the apparatus, the support comprising a core of a fiber-reinforced epoxy resin with a coating provided thereon, the core being made of a fiberglass-reinforced synthetic material on an epoxy resin basis with an isotropic fiberglass structure wherethrough cavities extend in the longitudinal direction, which cavities are filled with a fiber glass fleece impregnated with epoxy resin, the upper side being provided with a fiber-reinforced coating on an epoxy resin basis with unidirectional fibers of a synthetic material of a high tensile strength.

Patient support for diagnostic apparatus

A linear motor for the high-speed reciprocating movement of a mass-possessing rotor slide component and particularly of a radiation filter, with parallel flat stator plates with permanent magnets which are fitted to the facing sides of the stator plates and set up a magnetic field across the air gap between them. Fitted to the slide is a coil which can be slid in the permanent magnetic field. The coil consists of an aluminium foil provided at its surface with an insulating layer, which foil is wound to form an air-cored coil, and the slide is supported on gas bearings which extend through the aluminium bridges between the stator plates. To avoid impacts during acceleration and braking linear motors working reciprocally are provided.

Linear motor for the high-speed reciprocating movement of a rotor slide

The pressure chambers (2) for the ejection of the ink are recessed in a body (9) of an ink jet printer. The chambers (2) are covered by a metal diaphragm (1). The pressure chambers (2) and the associated narrow passages (4) are formed in the body (9) by depression. Subsequently, the metal diaphragm (1) is connected to the body (9) by energy beam welding. The energy beam (31) is moved along the edges of the pressure chambers (2) and of the narrow passages (4). An electron beam or a laser beam may be used as the energy beam (31).
