In order to prevent negative effects of imprinting an the addressing accuracy of deformable actuators, a method for controlling deformable actuators has, during an event period, driving the first and the second deformable actuator for causing the deformable actuators to assume a first and a second deformation state, respectively; and, before or after the event period, driving the first and the second deformable actuator for causing the deformable actuators to assume deformations states to counteract an imprinting caused during the event period by approximating the loads applied to the deformable actuators to each other. According to an embodiment, before or after the event period, for a period substantially as long as the operation period, the first and the second deformable actuator are driven such that the first deformable actuator assumes the second deformation state and the second deformable actuator assumes the first deformation state.

Method and apparatus for controlling deformable actuators

A method and an apparatus for controlling exposure of a surface of a substrate in a process of structuring the substrate with light of a predetermined intensity are described, wherein the light is directed to the surface by means of a deflectable mirror. The intensity has a first maximum at a first deflection of the deflectable mirror, a first minimum at a second deflection of the deflectable mirror, a second maximum at a third deflection of the deflectable mirror, and a second minimum at a fourth deflection of the deflectable mirror. A signal representing the predetermined intensity, and a signal representing a threshold intensity are received, the threshold intensity being equal to or less than the intensity of the second maximum. It is determined whether the predetermined intensity is greater than the threshold intensity. The deflection of the deflectable mirror is controlled to be between the first deflection and the second deflection when the predetermined intensity is greater than the threshold intensity, and to be equal to or greater than the third deflection when the predetermined intensity is equal to or less than the threshold intensity.

Method and apparatus for controlling exposure of a surface of a substrate

A micromechanical component comprises a frame layer and an oscillating body which, with the aid of a suspension means, is supported in an opening penetrating the frame layer, in such a way that the oscillating body is adapted to be pivoted about an axis of oscillation vertically to the frame layer plane. At least one oscillating-body lateral surface, which extends substantially at right angles to the frame layer plane, is arranged in relation to at least one inner lateral surface of the opening in such a way that a capacitance formed therebetween is varied by an oscillation of the oscillating body in such a way that an oscillation of the oscillating body about the axis of oscillation can be generated by periodically varying a voltage applied between the frame layer and the oscillating body. A supporting substrate for holding the frame layer is provided, said supporting substrate being implemented such that, in comparison with the influence of the voltage applied between the frame layer and the oscillating body, said supporting substrate has a negligible physical influence on the generation of the oscillation of the oscillating body.
