An active apparatus for modifying aerodynamic properties of a vehicle, encompassing: a frame; a movable portion movable relative to the frame along a motion path; a transceiver to emit a transceiver signal and has a specified transceiver position relative to the frame; an antenna to receive the transceiver signal and arranged on the movable portion, an antenna signal, induced by a predetermined transceiver signal, of the antenna exhibiting a predetermined functional dependence dependent on a position of the movable portion along the motion path and on the transceiver position; a signal transmitting unit to emit a unit signal that is associatable with the antenna and carries information regarding the antenna signal, the transceiver configured to receive the unit signal; and a signal evaluation unit, the signal evaluation unit configured to determine the position of the movable portion along the motion path on the basis of the unit signal, the functional dependence, and the transceiver position.

Active apparatus for modifying aerodynamic properties of a vehicle

A motor vehicle having a first portion and a second portion movable relative thereto; the vehicle further includes an actuator arrangement by which the second portion is drivable relative to the first portion; and the vehicle having a control apparatus that is coupled to the actuator arrangement and controls the operation of the actuator arrangement; the actuator arrangement including at least two separate actuators arranged remotely from one another, which are each switchable between an operating state wherein an output member of the actuator outputs a force and/or a motion, and a passive state in which the output member does not, the actuators are synchronously operable in a synchronous operating mode, wherein one actuator, constituting a master actuator, is coupled directly to the control apparatus, and the at least one further actuator is connected to the energy supply of the master actuator only such that the at least one further actuator is supplied with operating energy, and is in the operating state, only when the master actuator is switched by the control apparatus into the operating state.

An air flap apparatus for a motor vehicle encompasses a frame having a flowthrough opening, on which frame at least one air flap is mounted movably relative to the frame, protrudingly into the flowthrough opening or penetratingly therethrough, the at least one air flap being displaceable between a closed position and an open position in order to modify a gas quantity flowing per unit time through the flowthrough opening in the context of a predefined impinging flow, the at least one air flap decreasing a flowthrough-capable cross section of the flowthrough opening more greatly in the closed position than in the open position, the air flap apparatus further encompassing a movement drive system that is coupled in movement- and force-transferring fashion to the at least one air flap in order to drive the at least one air flap to move between the closed position and the open position, at least one air flap constituting a light-emitting air flap including a flap light guide having a light emergence surface through which light transferred in the flap light guide can emerge to the external environment of the light-emitting air flap.

Air flap apparatus having integrated light guides for a motor vehicle

A vehicle comprises a front spoiler with at least one spoiler lip made available in a front area of the vehicle and a spoiler lip drive by means of which the at least one spoiler lip may be displaced such that the aerodynamic properties of the vehicle can be changed in the front area by displacement of the at least one spoiler lip, wherein the spoiler lip drive of the at least one spoiler lip is electro-mechanical.
