A hybrid drive () of a motor vehicle (). In the motor vehicle (), an electric motor () acts as the driving force on a first axle () and an internal combustion engine () as a driving force on a second axle (). In an operation, in which only the electric motor () acts on the first axle (), a check is made to determine whether the internal combustion engine () is to be started to drive the second axle (), wherein a first set of conditions for a road start, taking into account first criteria, and a second set of conditions for a starter motor start, taking into account second criteria, are defined and checks are made independently of one another to determine whether the first set of conditions for a road start or the second set of conditions for a starter motor start has been met.

Method for operating a hybrid drive

A method for operating a motor vehicle having a hybrid drive, including a combustion engine having an engine management and at least one electro machine having a control unit, which is at least intermittently operated in an rpm-regulated manner and which is able to be in operative connection with a drive shaft of the combustion engine. For the closed-loop speed control of the electro machine, its torque is influenced by its rotational speed or a signal derived therefrom.
