A telecare system comprises a mobile terminal, which has a controller, and a telecare terminal. The controller of the mobile terminal is configured to detect a selective action by a user, attempt to communicate with the telecare terminal using short-range wireless communication in response to the detected action, and if the communication was successful, cause transmittal of an assistance request for a first telecare service and if not, cause transmittal of an assistance request for a second telecare service.

Telecare system

A communication apparatus includes a controller. The controller is configured to: receive a message, such as a communication request; determine a type for said message; select a first recipient layer based on said type, said first recipient layer comprising at least one recipient; transmit said message to at least one of said at least one recipient of said first recipient layer; receive a confirmation from said at least one of said at least one recipient of said first recipient layer; and in response thereto transmit said confirmation from said at least one of said at least one recipient of said first recipient layer to at least another one of said at least one recipient of said first recipient layer.

Communication apparatus and system, and method

A mobile communication terminal has a controller and a touch display. The touch display is arranged to display at least a first graphical object and a second graphical object, receive a touch, and determine a touch position and a touch duration for the touch. The controller is configured to receive the touch position and the touch duration, determine a graphical object, among the first graphical object and the second graphical object, corresponding to the touch position, determine if the touch duration exceeds a reference time threshold, and if so, generate a click event for the corresponding graphical object. The first graphical object is associated with a first time threshold, and the second graphical object is associated with a second time threshold. The first time threshold is different from the second time threshold. The controller is further configured to retrieve the first time threshold if the corresponding graphical object is the first graphical object and use the first time threshold as the reference time threshold, and retrieve the second time threshold if the corresponding graphical object is the second graphical object and use the second time threshold as the reference time threshold. The first time threshold is either higher or lower than said second time threshold depending on one or more of the following: a size, shape or/and color of the corresponding graphical object, a distance from the corresponding graphical object to a neighboring graphical object, a relative location of the corresponding graphical object in a touch area of the touch display, and a level of the corresponding graphical object in a menu hierarchy.

Mobile communication terminal providing adaptive sensitivity of a click event

A communication system provides remote care taking of a first user to be cared for by a plurality of second users. The system has a first mobile communication terminal configured for use by the first user to be cared for, and a plurality of second mobile communication terminals for use by the second users. Each second mobile communication terminal is configured to let the respective second user act as a member of a first recipient layer or a member of a second recipient layer. The first mobile communication terminal is configured to allow the first user to select a first element in a user interface of the first mobile communication terminal to cause sending of a first type of remote care taking request message intended for second users being members of the first recipient layer, the first type of request message pertaining to remote care taking of the first user. The first mobile communication terminal is also configured to allow the first user to select a second element in the user interface of the first mobile communication terminal to cause sending of a second type of request message intended for second users being members of the second recipient layer, the second type of request message pertaining to remote care taking of the first user and being different from the first type of request message.

Communication system for providing remote care

A telecare-enabled mobile terminal has a controller, a first subscriber identity and a second subscriber identity. At least one mobile network interface provides telecommunication connectivity for the mobile terminal as identified by the first subscriber identity and the second subscriber identity, respectively. The controller is configured to use the first subscriber identity for outbound telecommunication traffic relating to a telecare service provided by a remote telecare provider. The controller is configured to use the second subscriber identity for outbound telecommunication traffic not relating to the telecare service.
