A method, apparatus and vehicle for controlling a ride level for a vehicle having at least one first axle having a first air suspension and/or one second axle having a second air suspension, a parking brake and an operating brake, including: reading a ride level variation signal, indicating a ride level variation to be performed; providing a parking break release signal to an interface to a parking brake valve that, responding to the ride level variation signal, releases and engages the parking brake installation, the parking brake release signal being for actuating the parking brake valve for releasing the parking brake installation; and providing a first control signal to an interface to a first valve of the first air suspension and/or a second control signal to an interface to a second valve of the second air suspension while using the ride level variation signal for performing the ride level variation.

An adjusting apparatus for an electrically operated utility vehicle, which has a front axle; at least two rear axles; at least one electric motor for driving the rear axles; and a battery to supply the electric motor with electrical power; including: an adjusting device to adjust a level of at least one of the rear axles from the roadway; in which the adjusting device is configured to identify a recovery mode in which the electric motor functions as a generator and is driven by the two rear axles in order to charge the battery; and in which the adjusting device is configured, when a recovery mode has been identified, to adjust the level and a load of the at least one adjustable rear axle so that the recovery is optimized. An inverter for diagnostic X-ray equipment, comprising a thyristor bridge with an input diagonal connected in series with two commutating inductances across a DC power supply, is provided with a start-stop circuit which includes an ancillary thyristor connected in series with a diode and a current-limiting impedance across one of the bridge arms. On start-up, the ancillary thyristor is triggered simultaneously with the diagonally opposite bridge thyristor in order to connect the current-limiting impedance in series with the AC output diagonal of the bridge during the first half-period; for a quick cutoff, the ancillary thyristor and the associated bridge thyristor are turned on together whereby two previously charged quenching capacitors, one of them included in the start-stop circuit, are discharged through the commutating inductance in series with the associated bridge arm to terminate conduction in another bridge arm fed through the same commutating inductance. A protective unit connected across the input diagonal of the bridge includes a further capacitor, charged from an auxiliary voltage source, which reverse-biases the bridge thyristors by way of another thyristor fired upon detection of a short circuit or overload.
