The invention relates to a filter arrangement for cleaning an air stream having at least three filter elements, wherein each filter element has a bellows made of pleated filter medium, wherein the filter elements are arranged in series and any two adjacent filter elements are connected to one another by means of a connecting tab. According to the invention, a fold run-out of all end folds of all bellows is oriented in a particular direction, the connecting tabs are of two different embodiments and the different embodiments of the connecting tabs are arranged alternatingly when viewed in a longitudinal direction of the filter arrangement. Not only is a simple installation of the filter elements in a filter holder thus facilitated but also a defined seating of the filter elements in the filter holder is ensured.

A filter element for filtration of an air stream includes: a folded filter medium forming a bellows, the filter medium being constructed at least in two layers and having a particle filter layer, an electrically conductive filter layer, and at least one edge band, the at least one edge band being connected to at least one outer side of the bellows. At least one further edge band is connected to an outer side of the bellows. The at least one further edge band is electrically conductive. The at least one further edge band forms a pocket open towards one side.

A filter element to be inserted into a filter housing, has a filter medium with a rim, wherein the rim is connected to an injection-molded frame or at least one injection-molded frame element, providing a flexibly bendable filter element using a frame made of plastic attached by injection molding, wherein the frame or at least one frame element is made of plastics of different hardnesses in alternation in at least one extension direction, such that the filter element can be bent flexibly at least in part by deforming the filter medium and the frame or frame element.

A filter element includes a filter web pleated in an essentially zigzag manner and made, in particular, of a nonwoven material, for insertion into a holder such as a filter frame and/or a filter housing, having at least one end-positioned wall of an essentially flat design. The filter element includes at least one end face, viewed in the direction of the pleats. To achieve a tighter seal, the end face of the filter element is curved outward in a defined convex manner, and the filter web material is selected and/or its end face conditioned so that, when inserted into the holder, the end face of the filter web may be placed leak-tight against the end wall of the holder without corrugation under elastic pre-tension.
