An application device () for applying a viscous material onto a substrate and a method for producing the application device (). The application device () includes a ventilation device having an insert (), which is connected air-tightly to an inner container () in the region of a discharge opening (). An annular gap is formed between the insert () and a neck region () of the outer casing (), through which annular gap air can flow from outside into an intermediate space between the outer casing () and the inner container () and vice versa. The connection between an applicator () and the outer casing () is also permeable to air and the applicator () includes a sealing means () that seals off the inner volume of the inner container () in an air-tight and leak-proof manner from the intermediate space.

The invention relates to a device for pressing out a material from a deformable tube, comprising the following: a housing having a base end; an upper section opposite the base end; and lateral wall sections between the base end and the upper section; a squeezer that can be introduced into the housing, wherein the squeezer has a carrier element and two opposing jaws for gripping and squeezing out a material from the tube, wherein the housing has an opening in the upper section through which an outlet of the tube can be guided, and same has openings in opposing parts of the lateral wall sections via which the jaws can be actuated, wherein the jaws are secured to the carrier element at one end and the squeezer also has a manual lever element on at least one jaw, wherein the lever element is connected to the jaw in a connection region to form an assembly, in which a pressure manually applied to the lever element brings about a force on the jaw in the direction of the other jaw, wherein the lever element has a body with reinforcing ribs, wherein the reinforcing ribs are surrounded at least partially by a closed outer skin, wherein a region of the outer skin forms a gripping region.

A cap for overfitting a nozzle having an elongate nozzle body; the cap having an elongate cap body with a longitudinal axis, and an outside surface and an inside surface. The cap body has closed end and an open end, with an at least one sidewall. A housing of the cap has an open end. The cap is for receiving and overfitting the nozzle body of the nozzle. The cap has three elongate spaced apart wing portions each having a wing profile each forming part of the outside surface of the cap. Each wing runs from the mouth of the cap to the closed end thereof, and each contiguous with the next so that an exterior face of one wing portion together with an exterior face of an adjacent wing portion form one continuous concave surface between each wing portion and the adjacent one. The cap has a part-helical, or skewed profile, which gives a visual indication of the direction of removal of the cap from the nozzle. A nozzle has matching depressions, which come into register with the concave surfaces of the cap. The assembly of cap over nozzle is suitable as a closure for a container holding curable product such as adhesive. A locking ring may be provided on the tube for locking a nozzle to the tube.

The invention relates to an outer container for holding an inner container in particular where the inner container has a sensitive product. The outer container comprises at least one of a moveable display board; retaining formations for retaining a hygroscopic element; or a stand for gripping the base of the inner container to retain it in an upright position. The invention also relates to a combination pack comprising the inner container retained in the outer container, particularly where the inner container holds a moisture sensitive product such as an adhesive.

A nozzle assembly () with a reusable break-off cap () for dispensing a product from a container (). On a dispensing end () of the nozzle () a break-off cap () is integrally formed thereon and closes off the dispensing end () of the nozzle (). The break-off cap () is removable by breaking a frangible connection () between the nozzle () and the break-off cap (). Removing the break-off cap opens the dispensing end () of the nozzle () thereby allowing product to be dispensed through the nozzle (). The break-off cap () removed from the nozzle () can then be re-engaged with the nozzle () to close off the dispensing end () thereby preventing further product from being dispensed. The cap can be attached to or removed from the nozzle () as often as a user requires.
