In order to improve the efficacy and/or functionality during the driving in of securing elements using the fuel-operated firing device, the pre-chamber has at least two venting connections which are mutually spaced in an axial direction and which have passages that can be exposed conjointly in order to facilitate rapid venting of the pre-chamber.

The invention relates to a pull-out tester () for a setting tool used for setting a setting bolt (), comprising a retaining part () for holding the setting bolt (), an elastic element (), at least one means () for transmitting a pull-out force acting on the setting bolt () onto the elastic element () such that if a pull-out testing force acting on the setting bolt () is exceeded, the connection between the setting bolt () and the pull-out tester () can be detached due to a deformation of the elastic element (). The problem addressed by the invention is that of being able to provide a substantially constant pull-out testing force, even in different temperatures and with a different pull-out speed of the pull-out tester ().
