The invention relates to a method of sealing, coating or/and aerodynamic smoothing of at least one connecting element that protrudes from a surface or/and for sealing, coating or/and aerodynamic smoothing of a surface at a gap or at an uneven connection site with a sulfur-containing SCOD sealing compound at at least one application site, especially on an aerospace component, with at least one nozzle element and with at least one irradiation unit, which is characterized in that i) a nozzle element contains a mixed sealing compound and is guided or/and mounted over the connecting element protruding from a surface, over the gap or/and over the uneven connection site, ii) the connecting element protruding from the surface, the gap or the uneven connection site is covered fully with sealing compound, the sealing compound forming a sealing compound cover essentially in the form of a sealing compound cap, a coating or/and a mound-shaped or bead-shaped elevation, iii) the nozzle element or at least a portion is raised if required from the surface having the sealing compound cover, and iv) the curing of the sealing compound is initiated with the aid of at least one irradiation unit by energy input and by release of a latent catalyst or is brought about by direct activation of at least one reaction component, such that the mixed sealing compound subsequently cures or/and cures further. The invention also relates to a corresponding apparatus, to the aerospace vehicle treated in this way and to the use of the method and the apparatus.

Method of applying a sulphur-containing sealing compound, apparatus therefor, correspondingly treated aerospace vehicle and use thereof

A method for curing a mixture of a matrix and a curing agent based on sulfur-containing polymers on command and so rapidly that a tack-free surface results. A method for coating a substrate with the composition and of curing a sealant is also provided. The matrix and curing agent containing sulfur-containing polymers. The mixture is an uncured mixture with an isocyanate content, and the matrix is uncured and contains a mercaptan-terminated base polymer based on at least one polyether, polythioether, polysulfide or copolymers thereof. The uncured matrix, the curing agent, or both contain at least one photoinitiator based on sterically-inhibited tertiary amines. The mixture cures in the temperature range of &#x2212;10 to +70&#xb0; C. after the high-energy actinic radiation is applied. Corresponding matrices A, mixtures B, curing agents, sealant systems, and substrates, e.g., aircraft are contemplated.

Matrices and sealants which are based on sulfur-containing polymers and which comprise a photoinitiator, curing and coating methods, and use of said matrices and sealants

The present invention relates to a sealing compound for coating a substrate, which is a mixture of a predominantly uncured base mass and a curing agent containing at least one epoxy composition, wherein the base mass contains a mercapto-terminated base polymer based on polyether, polythioether, polythioethersulfide, polysulfide, copolymers thereof and/or mixtures thereof, wherein the base mass, the curing agent or both contain at least one photoinitiator based on a sterically hindered nitrogen-containing organic base, and, through the effects of high-energy actinic radiation, the at least one photoinitiator dissociates at least one radical per molecule based on a nitrogen-containing organic base, from which a nitrogen-containing organic base having a pKa value of the conjugated acid in the region of 6 to 30 is formed, which acts as an active catalyst for the curing of the base mass. The present invention also relates to a corresponding method for coating a substrate with a sealing compound.

Sealing mass based on mercapto-terminated base polymer/epoxy compound and method for hardening by means of a photolatent catalyst

The invention relates to a detergent for gentle removal of inks as used for marking in a roll mill, and to markers as used in production for temporary marking. According to the invention, the problem is solved by a detergent which permits the gentle removal of inks or markers from metallic surfaces in the form of a concentrate or a cleaning bath solution containing at least one water-immiscible solvent in an amount of 4 to 200 g/l, at least one anionic and/or nonionic surfactant in an amount of 8-300 g/l, at least one complexing agent in an amount of 1-100 g/l, at least one buffer substance in an amount of 1-100 g/l and at least one water-miscible solvent in an amount of 4-200 g/l in water.

Detergent for gentle removal of inks and markers

The invention relates to fissure-detection agents for fault detection according to the penetration method of metallic and/or non-metallic components, which are a microemulsion comprising at least 10 wt. % of water A), at least 0.1 wt. % of at least one dye B), at least 5 wt. % of at least one substantially water-insoluble liquid phase C) and at least 2 wt. % of at least one surfactant D) selected from non-ionic, anionic and/or amphoteric surfactants, the sum of all constituents being 100 wt. %, wherein the fissure-detection agent has a mean particle size in the range of 1 to 250 nm and a transparency of at least 70% at 600 nm. The invention also relates to the production of said fissure-detection agents, to a process for their preparation or/and disposal, and their use.

The invention relates to a sealing mass with low density and improved tensile strength on the basis of sulfur-containing polymers such as on the basis of polysulfide, polyether or/and polytioether that has a density of not more than 1.3 g/cmaccording to ISO 2781 and a tensile strength of at least 1.9 N/mmaccording to ISO 37 after curing. The invention further relates to a method for producing a sealing mass according to which at least one base polymer is mixed with at least one adhesion promoter and the at least one light filler, especially hollow filler, is added, a vacuum with a remaining pressure of less than 50 mbar being maintained during incorporation of the light filler.
