A threaded fastener actuator that includes a worm-gear used to transfer rotational power to an impeller gear. The impeller gear includes a polygonal channel for receiving an actuator feature included in a threaded fastener. As the worm-gear is rotated, the impeller gear rotates about a vertical movement axis, which causes the threaded fastener contained in polygonal channel to also rotate and engage with a corresponding threaded coupler.

A processing machine for rod-shaped articles includes a base frame including a back plate extending upward from the base frame; and a plurality of function modules each adapted to perform a manufacturing function on a rod-shaped article. Approaches describe a panel system (e.g., a closed-, open-, and/or solid-panel system) that can be assembled quickly and easily in the field without field modifications to the panel. The panels can be precision engineered, and include a building connection system for structural and/or utility connection between building elements. An interpanel connector can include a structural connector, a utility connector, or a combination connector that is both a structural and utility connector. A control component or another appropriate component can be used to automatically facilitate coupling of one or more building elements, and provide feedback on the assembly process.

The method and system is constructed to be able to measure noble gas isotopes in water and ice, which helps reveal the geological age of the samples and understand their movements. The method and system uses a combination of a cooled discharge source, a beam collimator, a beam slower and magneto-optic trap with a laser to apply resonance frequency energy to the noble gas to be quenched and detected.

A dry condiment dispensing system is provided, in which the contents of the dispenser are dispensed through one or more dispensing holes at the bottom of a storage container. A stationary shutter is placed over the dispensing holes to prevent undesired dispensing of the contents of the dispenser. When the storage container is moved in relation to the stationary shutter, the dispensing holes are aligned over a spout in the shutter, such that the stored contents may be dispensed through the dispensing holes and the spout. In a preferred embodiment, the storage container is moved along an axis between a closed position and a dispensing position by a cam. In another preferred embodiment, the storage container is spring loaded, such that the storage container returns to a normally closed position. One or more condiment dispensers can be used to organize such condiments as nutmeg, cinnamon, sugar, and cocoa powder at a coffee station, such as at a gourmet coffee shop.

An electrodeless lamp bulb for producing relatively high radiation output in the deep ultraviolet part of the spectrum when excited with microwave energy wherein the bulb envelope is made of synthetic quartz which is substantially water-free. This results in increased bulb lifetime, since loss of bulb transparency with exposure to deep ultraviolet radiation over time is substantially reduced. An electrodeless lamp incorporating the above-described bulb includes a microwave chamber in which the bulb is situated and means for coupling microwave energy to the chamber.
