A method is provided for determining a relative position of an object in relation to an x-ray imaging apparatus for creating an x-ray and a recorded image. The method includes bringing an object in a ray path of an x-ray into a first position. In a first recorded image, at least one defined geometry in and/or on the object is imaged. A measure for a change in the first focus point towards a second focus point is undertaken at the x-ray source. In the second recorded image, the at least one defined geometry is imaged. A distance from the object to the x-ray source and/or to the x-ray detector is determined based on the change in the focus point, as well as on the basis of the images of the at least one defined geometry in the first and the second recorded image.

Method for determining a relative position of an object in relation to an x-ray imaging apparatus

A method and an X-ray apparatus generate a projective X-ray representation of an examination object. Two projective images obtained from a phase contrast measurement are adapted to each other in respect of their representation format and a result image is generated by combining the adapted images. The result image allows extensive separation of different structures in the examination object that is used.

A method and an x-ray apparatus for interferometric 2D x-ray imaging, use a Talbot-Lau interferometer having at least one phase grating and an analysis grating for producing 2D images of an object to be examined using a phase stepping method. A stepwise readout of a detector is carried out continuously at a multiplicity of the phase positions of an interference pattern. Time sequences of readout interval data records which overlap in time are extracted from the readout data records, and at least one result image data record is calculated from an absorption image and/or a phase-contrast image and/or a dark-field image from each readout interval data record.

Method and x-ray apparatus for interferometric 2D x-ray imaging

Data of a predetermined volume portion of an object under examination is captured by an x-ray system that includes an x-ray source and a detector. The x-ray source is activated to generate x-rays that emerge from the x-ray source, radiate through the volume portion, and after radiating through, impinge on the detector. X-rays impinging on the detector are captured pixel by pixel, in order to capture the data of the predetermined volume portion. With the pixel-by-pixel capture, only a subset of all the pixels of the detector is evaluated.

Furthermore, a method and apparatus are described for electronic correction of digital projection data. In order to allow particularly simple correction of digital projection data, the creation of the correction map includes a reconstruction of the lowermost layer of the 3D X-ray image to be reconstructed from the digital projection data, which lowermost layer corresponds to the detector plane of the digital X-ray detector.

A detector arrangement is disclosed for performing phase-contrast measurements, including at least two transducer layers arranged one behind the other, wherein at least the first transducer layer arranged in the radiation direction includes alternate sensitive areas having a high absorptance for the conversion of incident radiation quanta into signals and less sensitive areas having a lower absorptance in comparison thereto. Further, a corresponding X-ray tomography device and a method for performing phase-contrast measurements are also enclosed.
