The base of this bandaging system is attached to the skin around a wound by adhesive and supports the edges of the lid, which covers the wound and can easily be removed and replaced or re-used many times to facilitate examining or treating the wound while the base remains in place. The bandaging system has multiple embodiments to accommodate various situations. An embodiment with generally planar components is very simple but may cause vertical pressure on the skin near the wound when the lid is removed or attached. Such pressure is avoided by alternative embodiments in which the components have non-planar parts. Some embodiments have a hinge on an edge of the lid which allows the wound to be uncovered without detaching the lid. The components which latch lids to bases contribute to making the systems easy, quick, convenient, and comfortable to use.

Bandage which enables examining or treating a wound without removing the adhesive

In one form of the present preferred embodiment of the present invention it relates to a two-position feed-thru electric line cord piercing switching combination, of the rotary and even the rocker type, which saves electric energy by use of a half-wave diode rectifying means. The electric energy saving, two-position, combination switching means having only two electrical passing switching positions and thereby having no electrical 'off' position. The switch will alternatingly provide either an electrical half-wave 'dim' or an electrical full-wave 'on' illumination to a single filament lamp, string of Christmas tree lamps and the like, and will even provide eight separate combinations, of one OFF and three separate illuminations, when electrically connected ahead of a, for example, conventional LEVITON rotary 4-position lamp socket switching means which uses a conventional 3-way incandescent lamp member which is removable inserted into the lamp socket portion thereof. MICRO, CHERRY, toggle, rocker, push-button and the like, line cord non-piercing two-position switches may be used in other forms of the combination switching device or invention. The half-wave diode rectifying means is electrically connected shuntingly between and/or across substantially to two electrical contact members of the conductor wire-piercing and the wire non-piercing type of switching means. This construction results in automatic elimination of the electrical 'off' position for generally any type of 2-position 'off' and 'on' switching means.

Electric energy saving two-position combination switching device

In one form of the present preferred embodiment of the present invention it relates to a three-position feed-thru electric line or wire cord piercing switching combination of the rotary type which at least saves electric energy by use of a half-wave diode rectifying means. The electric energy saving, three-position, combination switch having one 'off' and two electrical passing switching positions. The switch will provide three-positions of 120 degrees for each position so that machine-gun or gunning, overshooting or rapid manual switch actuation for each of the three-positions is substantially prevented and also provides an electrical 'off' half-wave rectified 'dim' and an electrical full-wave 'on' illumination to a single filament lamp, string of Christmas tree lamps and the like, and will even provide at least eight separate combination, of three illuminations, when electrically connected ahead of a, for example, conventional LEVITON rotary 3-way lamp socket switching means which uses a conventional 3-way incandescent lamp member which is removable inserted into the lamp socket portion thereof. The half-wave diode rectifying means is electrically connected to and substantially shuntingly between two of three electrical contact members of the conductor wire-piercing and the wire non-piercing type of switch.

Electric energy saving three-position combination switching device

An improved electric energy saving incandescent lamp socket combination having in one embodiment a two-position electric 'off-on' switching means, and in another embodiment having a four-position electric 'off', low, medium and high switching means for a 1-way and a 3-way incandescent lamp respectively. The lamp socket houses therein a subcombination means that comprises a conventional two-position switching means having at least one single throw 'off-on' electrical switching position and a half-wave, electric rectifying, diode which is electrically short-circuitingly connected to any two of generally three electrical terminals which project from at least one surface portion of the conventional two-position switching means. Thereby a person can actuate the lamp socket's two-position and/or four-position switching means and at substantially the same time, as desired, actuate the subcombination two-position half-wave rectified 'dim' and full-wave 'on' subcombination means for providing a one-way incandescent lamp with an electrical switched positions of 'off-dim', 'off-bright', 'off-dim-bright', 'off-bright-dim' and the like combinations. The four-position 3-way lamp socket switching means and two-position subcombination will provide eight separate combination of three illuminations, as desired, accordingly.

Electric energy saving incandescent lamp socket combination switching

A substantially skidpan apparatus device of which at least one portion thereof is hooked and/or removably secured to at least one cross member or to at least one other structural portion of a first type of motor vehicle of the race car, automobile or car, truck and bus type. At least one portion of oil or fluid drippings which have dripped from at least one portion of the above disclosed motor vehicles are retained therein. The apparatus device is also for specific use in a boat type of non-highway used motor vehicle to prevent at least one portion of th inland waters from being oil polluted. The oil or fluid drippings being generally captured and retained in at least one portion of a fluid retaining receptacle portion of the apparatus device and/or at least one portion of a separate material or a nestable receptacle which may be retained in the fluid retaining receptacle portion of the apparatus device. A roadway's, race track's, highway's (car, truck and bus) motor vehicle travelling surface is thereby substantially prevented from 'summer icing' of the disclosed motor vehicles traveled surfaces and 'viscous hydroplaning' of the motor vehicle's tires thereon, is substantially prevented at and especially when the four first type of motor vehicle's are abruptly started, stopped, curving or curving in and out at a high rate of speed or even merely traveling at a very high rate of speed.

Motor vehicle oil drip pan apparatus device for at least indirectly

A graduated, grooved rule and/or graduated slotted and grooved rule member for use in combination with the subcombination head means of combination tool. For example, the subcombination head means of a combination square, the subcombination head means of a bevel protractor; combination head means of a builder's combination tool, square; subcombination head means of a double square; subcombination head means of a reliable try square; subcombination head means of a die maker's square and the like. This pivoting rule or blade may be substantially pivoted 180.degree. on a short nib or rib, transverse nib or rib, or a substantially spherical faced nib member, one of which is substantially in the head means of the above combination tools for either; presenting a notched-out rule corner portion, or a different rectilinear edge or a different set of graduations and corresponding indicia to at least one side edge of the subcombination head means by substantially pivoting the rule 180.degree. substantially in said head and generally against and around a portion of the nib; or slide and disconnect the head means from this 'Pivoting Rule' invention. The above operations are accomplished by having a reversing, pivoting or a turn-around opening, cavity or area in at least one end portion of the groove and/or the slot of a slotted and grooved rule member, and/or in a narrow or wide grooved portion of the rule member.

An electric incandescent lamp dimming combination fixture device having a subcombination which has at least one thyristor type of semiconductor component, with or without a voltage transient protecting 'G.E. MOV.' type VP varistor, as desired, and with or without a separate selective electric switch or switching means. The combination fixture device having, in at least one of its other embodiments, a subcombination of at least one-half-wave diode rectifier or rectifying means which is an semiconductor member, of the silicon type, with or without a varistor of the zink oxide doped with gallium oxide diode type, or even a diode of the germanium type, as desired, and at least one electrical selectively switching means. At least one of the above subcombinations, for example, being electrically connected in the electrical circuit of substantially at least one portion of the fixture portion of the fixture device so that variable dimming of at least one incandescent lamp and/or at least an 'on' full illumination and/or substantially a 'half-on' or 'half-wave' diode electrical dimming, of at least one incandescent lamp or bulb of and at a hung type of incandescent lamp fixture device dimming combination may be provided as desired. The first and second mentioned subcombinations also providing new and improved utility, by having at least one of the subcombination means electrically connected in the electrical circuit of the electric fixture device between, for example, the source of electric current supply and at least one electric contact member of an electric socket member of an electric incandescent lamp or bulb, or even between the source of an electric current and a, for example, 1, 2 or 3-way electric selective switch or switching means which passes electric current substantially to at least one 1-way, at least two 1-way, or even at least one 3-way incandescent lamp or lamps of the combination fixture device.

At least an entirely upstanding walled receptacle apparatus device which has an entirely upstanding and surrounding walled receptacle that is removably secured in one embodiment or is hooked onto and also removably secured to at least one cross member or to at least one portion of a motor vehicle of the race car, automobile or car, truck, bus and boat type, and accordingly having at least one portion of oil or fluid drippings retained therein. The apparatus device is also for specific use in a boat type of non-highway used motor vehicle to prevent at least one portion of the inland waters from being oil polluted. The apparatus receptacle portion, in one of its embodiments, having and retaining therein at least one separate material for at least retaining one portion of the oil or fluid which drips therein from at least one portion of at least one of the above disclosed motor vehicles. The oil or fluid dripping being captured and generally retained in at least one portion of the receptacle portion of the apparatus and/or at least one portion of a separate material which is retained in the receptacle portion of the apparatus. The oil or fluid generally leaks or drips from, and even into the boat type of disclosed motor vehicles which have a defective oil or fluid gasket, seal and the like. The apparatus device substantially prevents the captured or dripped in fluid drippings from being spilled, ejected or dumped substantially out of a separate material retained in the apparatus' receptacle or substantially out of a separate nestable receptable subcombination which is retained on the apparatus' receptacle and onto, for example, a roadway's, race track's, highway's (car, truck and bus) travelling surface. Thereby, 'summer icing' of the disclosed traveled surfaces and 'viscous hydroplaning' of the motor vehicle's tires thereon, is substantially prevented, and especially when the motor vehicle's are abruptly started, stopped, curving or curving in and out at a high rate or speed or even merely travelling at a very high rate of speed.

Motor vehicle oil drop pan apparatus device for indirectly saving lives

An improved cushion padded, coaxially bendable and resilient and substantially diametrically rigid 'hair roller' device for use, especially by persons, in the 'hair roller or hair (do it yourself) art' whereby a person may sleep with and on the rollers dressed in their hair, and still substantially protect their scalp from, at least, becoming numb, dificient, generally unhealthy, and balding.
