An apparatus for use in holding artwork during transportation or storage, comprising: a substantially flat mounting panel provided with a plurality of retention members; and at least one clamp, configured to be moveable between an unengaged state, in which artwork can be removed from the apparatus, and an engaged state, in which the clamp secures the artwork to the apparatus; wherein the clamp comprises a base, configured to be secured to the mounting panel, and a gripping section; and when artwork is secured to the apparatus, a first side of the artwork is supported on the mounting panel and the gripping section of the clamp presses on a second side of the artwork, opposite to the first side of the artwork.

Apparatus for holding artwork

Apparatus for use in holding an artwork during transportation and storage, the artwork comprising or being mounted within a frame with a plurality of fastening devices secured to the frame, each fastening device having an aperture in a part which protrudes from a side of the frame, the apparatus comprising a substantially flat mounting panel provided with a plurality of retention members; and a plurality of securing devices for securing the fastening devices to the mounting panel, each of the securing devices comprising an engagement part for engaging the fastening device and a locking part which is rotatable about an axis from a first angular position in which it can be located adjacent a respective retention member and a second angular position in which it engages with a respective retention member, whereby each securing device can be used to secure a respective fastening device to the mounting panel by aligning the aperture in the fastening device relative to a retention member of the mounting panel, inserting the locking part through the aperture in the fastening device to a position adjacent a retention member so that the engagement part of the securing device engages a surface of the fastening device about the aperture therein, and rotating the locking part from the first angular position to the second angular position so the locking part engages with and is retained by said retention member.

Apparatus for holding an artwork

A container for housing an artwork during transportation or storage, the container comprising four side parts and four corner parts for connecting the side parts to form a substantially rectangular frame; a substantially rectangular lid part and a substantially rectangular mounting panel, each of the side parts having a first recess extending along its length for receiving a respective edge of the lid part and a second recess extending along its length for receiving a respective edge of the mounting panel; a first resilient member for locating around the perimeter of the lid part between the lid part and the substantially rectangular frame; a second resilient member for locating around the perimeter of the mounting panel between the mounting panel and the substantially rectangular frame so as to act as a shock absorber between the mounting panel and the substantially rectangular frame; and securing means for securing the lid part in a closed position relative to the substantially rectangular frame.

Container for housing artwork

The present invention relates to a container system for liquids such as spray fragrances. The system includes a parent container () and a child container (). The parent container provides a first cavity () for confining a liquid, and couples detachably to the child container for refilling the child container through a supply opening () in the parent container, so that the child container can be used for instance as a travel pack in a handbag or hand luggage. Here the child container is a compact dispenser, comprising a bowl-shaped rigid container () having a refill opening (), which is kept closed by a valve unless the dispenser is connected to a supply container, and a dispense opening (). These openings are located with a spacing from each other, and a pump () dispenses liquid from the dispense opening (). In this particularly simple construction, the opening of the bowl is covered by a deformable membrane () to form a closed dispense cavity (), the cavity becoming mainly or completely evacuated as the dispensing means is operated. The membrane then relaxes again, filling the dispenser, when the dispenser is re-applied to the parent container.

Compact liquid container

A security tag or device for use with a product package. The security tag has an optical sensor that detects ambient radiation (or light, if any) within the package interior (e.g., from a source outside the package). The optical sensor is temporarily limited from detecting the ambient radiation within the package by a lock section. A device may be provided to activate the lock section so that the optical sensor can detect light in the package. The optical sensor can be aligned with an opening in the package after the lock section is activated. After calibration, the optical sensor is used to determine changes in detected ambient radiation within the package. The security tag has an alarm adapted to provide an alert when a change (e.g., above a threshold) in intensity of ambient radiation within a package is detected by the optical sensor.

Optical security tag

The present invention provides a container system for liquids such as spray fragrances. The system includes a parent container () and a child container (). The parent container provides a first cavity () for confining a liquid, and couples detachably to the child container for refilling the child container through a supply opening () in the parent container. The child container has a cavity () for the liquid, a dispensing mechanism for dispensing liquid, and a valve assembly () for filling or topping up liquid into the child container from the parent. The valve () opens when the parent container is coupled to the child container. Either the parent or the child container system further includes a movable part () which automatically urges liquid from the parent container to the child container, so that when the two containers are together the child container is always full. However, when the child container is separated it can be operated as a self-contained dispenser.

Refill liquid container

A beverage container () comprises a container body () including an opening, a cap () to close the opening, and a collar (), mountable on the container body (). The cap () and the collar () include cooperating securement means () by which the cap () may be secured to the collar (), thereby securing the cap () to the container body () when the collar () is mounted on the container body (). The cap (), the collar () and the container body () are configured such that removal of the cap () from the container body () causes removal of the collar () from the container body ().

Apparatus for releasing a magnetic security device used to inhibit unauthorised access to and/or unauthorised removal of an article. The apparatus has a first portion () for locating an article in a first direction (D) and a second portion () for locating an article in a second direction (D) perpendicular to the first direction (D), so providing an L-shaped slot or receptacle capable of receiving articles of a wide range of shapes and sizes having a security device installed adjacent two substantially perpendicular sides thereof. The first and/or second portions include magnetic release means for releasing a lock securing the security device to the article and arranged to assist in locating the article in a third direction (M) perpendicular to the first and second directions (D, D) by magnetic attraction of the security device as the article is brought into contact with the first and second portions to align the magnetic security device with the magnetic release means.

Apparatus for releasing magnetic security device

A beverage container () comprises a container body () including an opening and a cap () to close the opening, the cap () or the container body () including one or more bayonet threads (), and the container body () or the cap () respectively including one or more protrusions () arranged to engage with a respective bayonet thread () to secure the cap () to the container body (). At least one of the bayonet threads () includes one or more stop members arranged to retain the, or each, protrusion () substantially fully engaged with the bayonet thread () such that the opening is substantially fully closed by the cap (), until a releasing torque sufficient to overcome the retention is applied to the container.

Multi-disc tray

A clip for holding an object, such as a literature booklet, comprises first () and second () resilient parts, the first part adapted to hold an object having a first thickness and the second part adapted to hold an object having a second thickness, the first thickness being greater than the second thickness. Consequently, the clip can hold a range of thickness of literature booklets or other objects. The clip may be part of an article, such as a container for compact discs or DVD's.

Article for holding an object

Disclosed is an apparatus for holding information storage media such as a disk () having an aperture therein. The apparatus includes, among other elements, a base portion and engaging means for releasably engaging the information storage media via said aperture. The engaging means includes at least one arm resiliently cantilevered to the base portion, retaining means for engaging and retaining the information storage media on the apparatus, and release means. The depression of the release means disengages the retaining means and the information storage media. A locating means is provided for receiving a security member as it is inserted beneath the engaging means in a first direction parallel to the base portion so as to inhibit operation of the release means. The locating means is arranged to locate the security member laterally as it is inserted beneath the engaging means.

Media holding apparatus

The apparatus comprises a base portion () and at least two arms () resiliently cantilevered from the base portion (), the inner ends of the arms () forming a button-like member () and each having a projection (A) for engaging on the outwardly facing surface of a compact disk () held on the apparatus. Depression of the button-like member () causes the projections (A) to move towards each other until their engagement on the disk () is released. An upstand () surrounds the disk () and is positioned close thereto so as to restrict movement of the disk () within its own plane. The inner ends () of the arms () may be shaped to reduce the risk of forces applied thereto in the plane of the disk () causing the disk () to be released. Finger recesses (A) in the upstand may be formed so as to inhibit access to the edge of a disk () whilst held by the apparatus but provide access thereto once the disk () has been released. 3-arm release mechanisms are also described.

Apparatus for holding a compact disk

Apparatus () for holding information storage media, such as a CD or DVD, in combination with a releasable security member () insertable into the apparatus for inhibiting removal of the storage media from the apparatus, e.g. by inhibiting access to the storage media by locking the apparatus in a closed configuration and/or by locking the storage media to the apparatus. The apparatus is adapted, e.g. by knowing one or more slots () therein, to receive part of the security member therein and the security has at least one projection (A,A) for inserting into the apparatus, e.g. through the slot (). Modification t the apparatus to enable it to receive a security member are described as well as different types of security members. Apparatus for releasing the security member from the apparatus holding the storage media is also described.
