The invention relates to a device () comprising a boiler () for generating steam, used for example in the steam-treatment of hair. The boiler (), which is located in a recess () comprises a refill cap () and a steam outlet () in its upper region. The steam outlet () is situated in the upper lateral region () of the boiler (). The boiler () is provided with an outflow opening () below the steam outlet (), the lower edge () of the steam outlet () and the lower edge () of the outflow opening () defining a height (H) of a boiling chamber (W). The steam outlet () communicates with a steam conduit coupling () of a steam conduit () and the outflow opening () communicates with a sealing part () of the recess ().

Device comprising a boiler for generating steam

Stand () with a foot () and a stand tube () which is arranged perpendicularly thereto and at the upper end () has a manually operable securing device () for securing, by means of a connecting pin (), an appliance () which is connected to the stand tube () against being unintentionally released. The securing device () is designed as an essentially U-shaped wire clip () which is bent in one piece and has two resilient limbs (), a subregion () of the limbs () engaging resiliently in each case in a corresponding groove () of the connecting pin (). A curved region () of the wire clip () is arranged outside the stand tube (). The advantage of the wire clip () resides in the cost-effective production, the installation of the particular hairdressing appliance () without a tool, and the secure locking (protection against unintentional raising/pulling out) of the hairdressing appliance () by the wire clip (), and the removal of the hairdressing appliance (), again without a tool (FIG.).

Stand with a securing device

The invention relates to a power supply independent device () producing a hot air flow (). Heat () is produced by a catalytic heating element () which is energized by a liquid fuel, the hot air flow () being produced by an electric fan (). The inventive device () is provided with a fuel cell () which supplies electric power to the fan (). Said device comprises a tank () for the liquid fuel connected with the aid of a valve () to the fuel cell () and the heating element () in such a way that they are jointly supplied with the liquid fuel ().

Power supply independent device for producing a hot air flow

The electrical hair treatment appliance ( ) includes an electrically controlled hair treatment device, preferably including infrared emitter elements ( ), and an operator control panel ( ) rigidily attached to the hair treatment device. The operator control panel ( ) includes a receptacle ( ) rigidly attached to the hair treatment device, an operator control and display device ( ) mounted in the receptacle ( ) so as to rotate in the receptacle and an electrical connection ( ) for electrically connecting between the operator control and display device ( ) and the receptacle ( ). The rotatable operator control and display device ( ) preferably includes buttons for setting and adjusting operating parameters of the hair treatment device and has a circular face ( ). The electrical connection ( ) may include a flat cable ( ), such as a stranded flat cable or a flexible electrical conductor track foil.
