The apparatus includes a battery pack mechanically coupled to the electric aircraft, the battery pack includes at least a battery module that includes at least a battery unit that includes battery cells and a thermal conduit configured to transfer heat between the battery cells and the thermal conduit and a thermal circuit mechanically coupled to the thermal conduit configured to facilitate the heat transfer using thermal media. The apparatus includes a media channel communicatively connected to a computing device and comprising at least a sensor, wherein the media channel is configured to evacuate the thermal media out of the battery pack using the thermal circuit and the computing device that includes a battery management system is configured to receive a condition parameter as a function of the at least a sensor of the media channel.

The system including a battery module including at least a battery cell, a sensor including a proximity sensor configured to detect a status datum corresponding to the battery module, a processor configured to receive the status datum from the sensor, generate a charge datum as a function of the status datum corresponding to the battery module, generate a health datum as a function of the status datum corresponding to the battery module, transmit the charge datum and the health datum, and a display configured to receive the charge datum and the health datum corresponding to the battery cell, and display the charge datum and the health datum corresponding to the battery cell.

An apparatus for a ground-based battery management for an electric aircraft is presented. The apparatus includes a battery pack mechanically coupled to the electric aircraft, wherein the battery pack includes at least a battery module, wherein each battery module includes at least a battery unit containing a first row of battery cells, a second row of battery cells, and a thermal conduit disposed between the first row and the second row of the battery unit, wherein the thermal conduit is configured to precondition the battery cells. Each battery module includes a thermal circuit mechanically coupled to the thermal conduit configured to facilitate the precondition using thermal media. The apparatus further includes a media channel encompassing the battery pack configured to connect to a ground cooling component that provides the thermal media to the thermal circuit using the thermal circuit, and evacuate the thermal media using the thermal circuit.

A flow battery system can include at least one pair of electrolyte storage, a first battery stack, and a second battery stack. The electrolyte storage pair can include an anolyte storage configured to contain an anolyte solution, and a catholyte storage configured to contain a catholyte solution. The first battery stack can be fluid communication with the electrolyte storage pair. The first battery stack can also be configured to receive electrical energy from a power source and to facilitate redox reactions storing the received electrical power as chemical energy by the anolyte and catholyte solutions. The second battery stack can be in fluid communication with the at least one pair of electrolyte storage. The second battery stack can also be configured to supply electrical energy to an electrical load, and to facilitate redox reactions releasing chemical energy stored by the anolyte and catholyte solutions as electrical energy to the load.

A flow battery system is provided that has at least one cell stack and at least a pair of storage containers or tanks connected to the at least one cell stack. Each of the storage containers is formed from a rigid (e.g., metal) shell and includes a liner directly bonded to inner walls of the rigid shell and forming an enclosure configured to retain a liquid electrolyte. The electrolyte can be an anolyte or catholyte. In the assembled configuration, the metal shell of the storage container provides secondary containment whereas the liner directly bonded thereto provides primary containment. The flow battery system includes a fault detection system configured to detect a presence of a fault or leak and further to determine a location of that leak in the flow battery system, such as a storage container or a specific portion of the storage container.
