The present disclosure relates to a light source comprising a housing, a light source connector at a first end of the housing, for connecting the light source to a light fitting, and a light emitting diode, LED, circuit, configured to emit light through a second end of the housing. The housing may be substantially symmetric about a symmetry axis extending from the first to the second end of the housing. The housing has, at the first end, a first end portion, comprising a thread, made in an insulating material, and being configured to be connected to a light fitting. A light fitting comprising such a light source is also considered.

Light source and light fitting

The present disclosure relates to a light source () comprising a housing (), a light source connector () at a first end () of the housing (), for connecting the light source to a light fitting, and a light emitting diode, LED, circuit (), configured to emit light through a second end () of the housing (). The housing may be substantially symmetric about a symmetry axis () extending from the first to the second end of the housing (), (). The housing () has, at the first end (), a first end portion (), comprising a thread (), made in an insulating material, and being configured to be connected to a light fitting. A light fitting comprising such a light source is also considered.

The invention relates to a method and an electric device comprising a screen, cooperating with said screen a sensor for detecting a presence of an object on or close to said screen, a controller and a feedback element. The controller is configured to interpret said presence of the object and calculate a force value and control said feedback element to provide a feedback with respect to the force value.

Touch screen interface with feedback

A method for operating a touch sensitive user interface is provided. The touch sensitive user interface comprises a touch sensitive surface and at least two force sensitive sensors. The touch sensitive surface is configured to provide a touch information indicating touch positions of at least two concurrent touches on the touch sensitive surface. The at least two force sensitive sensors are mounted at the touch sensitive surface at different predetermined locations. Each of the at least two force sensitive sensors is configured to generate a corresponding force information depending on a force being exerted on the corresponding force sensitive sensor. According to the method, the touch positions are determined based on the touch information and the force information is received from the at least two force sensitive sensors. Based on the at least two touch positions, the force information from the force sensitive sensors and the predetermined locations of the force sensitive sensors a corresponding touch force is determined for each of the concurrent touches.

Method for operating a touch sensitive user interface

The invention relates to a method and an electric device comprising a screen (), cooperating with said screen a sensor for detecting a presence of an object on or close to said screen, a controller () and a feedback element (). The controller () is configured to interpret said presence of the object and calculate a force value and control said feedback element () to provide a feedback with respect to the force value.

A liquid crystal display with a force sensitive display surface has a liquid crystal layer between a liquid crystal control layer and a window layer. A color filter layer with color filters or a 3D filter layer with 3D barrier units may be provided between the liquid crystal layer and the window layer. The control, window, color or 3D filter layer comprises an electrically conductive sensor structure comprising piezoresistive material for sensing the force applied by a user's finger on the display, and the sensor structure may, additionally, provide capacitance varying for sensing the touch position.

Finger detection on touch screens for mobile devices

A force sensitive touch sensor () is provided. The sensor () comprises an insulating support layer () and an electrically conductive sensor structure (). The electrically conductive sensor structure () comprises a piezoresistive material and is configured to provide a resistance varying in response to a force being applied to the insulating support layer (). The piezoresistive material comprises graphene.

An input interface () comprises a display (), a window () overlaid on the display (), and a housing (-) supporting the window (). A first sensor arrangement () is configured to sense a position of a touch action on the window () in two dimensions. The first sensor arrangement () comprises a first plurality of conductive traces (). A second sensor arrangement (-) is configured to sense a magnitude of a force applied by the touch action onto the window (). The second sensor arrangement (-) comprises a second plurality of conductive traces () and a force sensing material (). Input interface, handheld electronic device and method of producing an input interface

A method for operating a touch sensitive user interface is provided. The touch sensitive user interface comprises a touch sensitive surface () and at least two force sensitive sensors (-). The touch sensitive surface () is configured to provide a touch information indicating touch positions () of at least two concurrent touches () on the touch sensitive surface (). The at least two force sensitive sensors (-) are mounted at the touch sensitive surface () at different predetermined locations (-). Each of the at least two force sensitive sensors (-) is configured to generate a corresponding force information depending on a force being exerted on the corresponding force sensitive sensor (-). According to the method, the touch positions () are determined based on the touch information and the force information is received from the at least two force sensitive sensors (-). Based on the at least two touch positions (), the force information from the force sensitive sensors (-) and the predetermined locations (-) of the force sensitive sensors (-) a corresponding touch force is determined for each of the concurrent touches ().

A method for a device to receive a user input commanding the device to perform an action includes detecting a first amount of force exerted onto a graphical user interface, providing an indication that additional force must be exerted onto the graphical user interface to command the device to perform the action, detecting a second amount of force larger than the first amount of force exerted onto the graphical user interface, and providing a signal including data commanding performance of the action.

A device and method for image manipulation is provided. The image manipulation may be performed as a function of a three dimensional user input and image or application specific data regarding the displayed image to be manipulated. The three dimensional input may be in the form of a two dimensional position on a touch screen and a measured force in the third dimension. The image or application specific data may be in the form of a maximum depth value indicating the maximum depth of the displayed image. The system may be configured to adjust the image based on a percentage of the measured user input force and a threshold force. The image may be adjusted based on the percentage and the maximum depth.

User interface with three dimensional user input

A device includes a graphical user interface configured to receive a user input by user exertion of force onto the graphical user interface. The device further includes a detection logic operatively connected to the graphical user interface and configured to produce a signal including data indicative of a first amount of force exerted at a location on the graphical user interface. The device also includes an indication logic operatively connected to the detection logic and configured to determine based on the signal including data indicative of the first amount of force exerted at the location on the graphical user interface that the first amount of force is insufficient to command the device to perform an action based on the user input. The indication logic is further configured to produce a signal including data indicating that additional force must be exerted to command the device to perform the action.

An electronic device includes a first touch panel disposed on a first side of the device. The first touch panel receives a first touch input. The electronic device further includes a display disposed on the first side of the device, and a touch interface disposed on a second side of the device, where the second side is different than the first side. The touch interface receives a second touch input. A control unit receives an indication of the first touch input from the first touch panel and receives an indication of the second touch input from the touch interface. The control unit further determines alterations to a three dimensional view of the display in the x, y and/or z directions based on the first touch input, and rotates the three dimensional view on the display angularly in accordance with movement of the second touch input.
