Techniques are disclosed for generating media delivery packages from a source package. The techniques include receiving, by a computer system, a source package associated with a content item. Upon receiving the source package, the computer system determines a plurality of workflows, whereby each workflow is operable for generating a delivery package of a plurality delivery packages. A workflow defines parameters for execution of one or more transformation modules of a set of transformation modules of a media transformation service (MTS). The MTS generates the plurality of delivery packages based at least in part on the source package and an execution of respective workflows. The computer system then provides the plurality of delivery packages to respective target entities for distribution.

Computing resources may automatically generate a rough draft of storyboard by using textual analysis to extract meaning from a screenplay. The storyboard may be accompanied by spoken dialogue, sound effects, and a soundtrack. Users may provide pre-production decisions regarding appearance of characters and backgrounds. The users may include a community of different individuals who contribute content and suggest modifications to the storyboard. The computing resources may also access logic to select visual elements for the storyboard from libraries of existing content or from custom content prepared by one of the users. Pagination of the screenplay and location of dialogue and action on the pages of the screenplay may be used to create a timeline for the storyboard and any accompanying audio.

Automated creation of storyboards from screenplays

Video content comprising a plurality of frames containing textual and non-textual elements is processed. A portion of the plurality of frames is selected for analysis to identify textual elements in the frames corresponding to pre-defined textual elements. The identified textual elements are stored along with their location within the video content. In some embodiments, each of a subset of frames included in the portion is analyzed until the pre-defined textual element is identified in a start frame. A plurality of successive frames subsequent to the start frame is analyzed to identify pre-defined textual elements in the frame. Analyzing the frames includes filtering the frames to remove non-textual elements and increase the visibility of the textual elements contained therein. A confidence rating is calculated for the identified textual elements according to some embodiments.
