A head-mounted display system displays information via a matrix display element mounted within a housing that is positioned relative to at least eye of a user. The display is connected to a video or information source such that the user can view information or images shown on the display. The display can be mounted to a frame so that the user can move the display in and out of the user's field of view without adjusting the supporting harness that holds the display on the user's head.

A camera display system displays information via a matrix display element mounted within a housing that is positioned relative to at least eye of a user. The display is connected to a video or image sensor such that the user can view information or images shown on the display. The display can be mounted to a housing so that the user can move the display in and out of the user's field of view.

Camera display system

This is a body-supported computer that has safeguards against the heated computer housing injuring the user. A grille that is heat insulating is used on at least one outer surface of the housing. This grille, together with heat dissipating housing materials, keeps the temperature of the body-supported computer and its housing within tolerable limits.

Mobile computer

This invention uses a portable computer housing with a battery holder connected directly onto this battery housing. This arrangement does away with the need for cumbersome connecting cables or wires and places the battery at a location where it could be easily changed or removed. The housing and holder have mating electrical connectors so that they can be in electrical connection without need for wires, cables or other clumsy connectors.

A monocular head mounted display system in which a matrix display element is mounted within a housing that is positioned relative to one eye of the user to display information. The display is connected to a video or information source such that the user can view information or images shown on the display. The display can be mounted to a frame so that the user can move the display in and out of the user's filed of view without adjusting the supporting harness that holds the display on the user's head.

Monocular head-mounted display system

A compact, light weight head mounted display in which a pair of matrix display elements are mounted within a housing. The display utilizes a pair of arms or stems that are rotatable mounted to the housing such that the user can pivot each arm from a folded position into an open position. The arms can be spring mounted onto the housing to secure the display to the user's head and can also incorporate earphones that can be retracted into each arm when not in use.

This is a compartment that provides for increased protection of PCMCIA cards when used in computers. The compartment is covered by a movable door which can be moved to accommodate various size PCMCIA cards with various type projections. Since the entire horizontal portion of a PCMCIA card will seat in the compartment, a firm support is provided for the entire card.

Mobile body-supported computer

This novel Head Mounted Display (HMD) has a removable communications unit which can be interchangeably worn on the right or left side of the user. Thus, users having a hearing deficiency in one ear can use the opposite ear. Also, the HMD has a fully adjustable eyepiece which can be swung out of the way when not in use or can be used adjacent either eye. An important feature of this invention is an eye guard which prevents the eyepiece from striking the user's eye or face portion.
