A container has a body, a spout fitment, and a cap. The body has a neck extending to a mouth defining a body opening. The spout fitment has: a spout within the body opening; and an outer wall within the neck. The cap has: an upper sidewall; a flange protruding radially from upper the sidewall; and an outer sidewall depending from the flange. An internal thread of the cap outer sidewall is engaged to an external thread of the neck wall. An underside of the flange contacts the mouth. An upper surface of the flange has an interrupted annular recess.

A dispenser has a barrel having: a bottom end; a top end; an inner wall; and an outer wall. A platform is upwardly moveable within the barrel inner wall from a first position to a second position. A screw member is coupled to the platform to shift the platform upward. A threaded first portion is engaged to the platform for relative rotation about a first axis and a second portion. A cap has a first condition mounted at the barrel top end and a removed condition. The barrel outer wall has an aperture and in the first condition the cap covers the aperture.

Solid stick applicators and methods

A container comprises: a body having a neck extending to a mouth defining a body opening; a spout fitment having a spout within the body opening, an outer wall surrounding an upper portion of the neck, and an intermediate wall between the outer wall and the spout; and a cap having sidewall. An external thread of the cap sidewall is engaged to an internal thread of the intermediate wall. The spout fitment has one or more projections extending mouthward from the outer wall in backlocked engagement with one or more features of the neck.

Snap-over spout fitment and manufacture methods

A child-resistant container has a container body having an externally threaded neck () and a first pair of engagement features. A cap closes the container body in a closed condition and is removable from the closed condition. The cap comprising the unitary combination of an inner sidewall and an outer sidewall. The inner sidewall has an internal thread for engaging the neck external thread. An outer sidewall for gripping by a user has first and second pairs. The second pair of segments are hinged to the inner sidewall for depressably flexing from relaxed condition to a flexed condition and bear a second pair of engagement features. In the installed condition of the cap and relaxed condition of the second pair of segments, the first pair of engagement features and second pair of engagement features are positioned to collide to block an unscrewing rotation of the cap. An upper web joins the inner sidewall and the outer sidewall first pair of segments. A pair of respective hinges between the second pair of segments and the inner sidewall merge with the inner sidewall at a location recessed from an upper end of the inner sidewall.

Child-resistant closure

A child-resistant container cap has: an internally threaded inner sidewall. An outer sidewall surrounds the inner wall and has a cross-section normal to the central axis characterized by an opposite first pair of ends compressable from a relaxed condition to a compressed condition and an opposite second pair of ends, a direction between the second pair of ends being normal to a direction between the first pair of ends. A pair of engagement features are carried by the outer sidewall and engagable with container body engagement features to prevent an unscrewing rotation with the cap in the installed condition and the outer sidewall relaxed. Compression of the first ends from the relaxed condition to the compressed condition shifts the cap engagement features radially outward to permit the unscrewing rotation. The cross-section of the cap is longer between the first ends than the second ends.

A bottle handling apparatus handles bottles () of a nominal neck () radius. The apparatus has a carrier () and a plurality of bottle guides () mounted to the carrier and each comprising a bottle-engaging recess (). The bottle-engaging recess accommodates necks of different eccentricities.

Bottle filling/capping methods and apparatus

A dispenser has a barrel, a piston upwardly movable within the barrel from a first position to a second position, and a body of personal care composition at least partially within the barrel between the piston and the barrel top end. An actuator is coupled to the piston to shift the piston upward (toward the top end). The actuator comprises a screw member having a threaded portion engaged to the piston for relative rotation about a first axis. A cap has a first condition mounted at the barrel top end. The cap is removable from the first condition. An upper portion of the barrel has a rim portion, a dome, a breakaway connection between the dome and the rim portion recessed below the rim, and a handle coupled to the dome to allow pulling of the handle to sever the breakaway connection to remove the dome from the rim portion.

The present invention is directed to a novel cap and spout closure which provides for spout orientation, sealing, and locking when applied to a container or bottle. The present invention provides for a unique lug and notch assembly, which properly aligns and locks the cap and spout closure onto a container or bottle. The pre-assembled cap of the present invention is useful as a cap and spout for liquid laundry detergent.

Cap and spout combo

A container () has a body () having a body opening (). A spout fitment () is mounted within the body opening. A cap () has: a sidewall (); a web () enclosing an upper end of the sidewall; a flange () extending outward from the sidewall; an external thread () along the sidewall below the flange; a removed condition disengaged from the body and spout fitment; and an installed condition threadingly mounted by the external thread to at least one of the body and spout fitment. In the installed condition, a perimeter portion () of the flange is below a rim () of the spout fitment.

Pour spout

A sealing push-button lid for consumer wipes is disclosed. The lid may be used to seal a package of wipes for infant care, and may also be used for sealing and dispensing of one-at-a-time wipes for general cleaning purposes. The lid makes it easy for a busy person to use a single hand to pop open the lid in order to grasp and dispense the next wipe in a series of Z-folded wipes or inner-folded wipes in a preferably soft and flexible container. Containers with the push button lid may also be used with wipes that are folded in other ways. The lid is formed as one piece or two pieces, the pieces joined by a hinge that allows movement of the lid top with respect to the lid bottom. The lid is designed for easy joining and sealing to a container, preferably by a bead of hot melt adhesive or adhesive strips.

Push button dispensing lid

A wet wipe container having improved single handed opening and dispensing is disclosed. The container includes a container base, a container lid hingedly connected to the base and a closure. The front of the container lid defines a convex portion which extends outwardly and which includes a recess therein. The closure is provided by a tongue projection which extends from the container base and which is configured to extend through an aperture in the recess of the front wall of the lid. The recess and tongue projection are of sufficient size to allow easy access by a user's fingers to provide single handed opening. In one embodiment, the container lid also includes a sealing wall which is configured to provide frictional engagement with the interior of the container base when the container is closed to prevent moisture from escaping.
