An imaging system for a vehicle is disclosed. The imaging system comprises an imager configured to capture image data in a forward directed field of view relative the vehicle and an inertial sensor configured to measure a bank angle of the vehicle. A controller is in communication with the imager and the inertial sensor. The controller is configured to receive the image data comprising an imaging area and process the image data with enhanced sensitivity in at least one processing window within the imaging area. The controller is further configured to adjust a location of the processing window within the imaging area based on the bank angle and detect an object in the processing window.

Image compensation for motorcycle banking

An imaging system is provided herein. An image sensor is configured to acquire one or more images of a scene external and forward of a controlled vehicle and to generate image data corresponding to the acquired images. A controller is communicatively connected to the image sensor and is configured to receive and analyze the image data. The controller detects an object of interest in the image data and generates an ON signal or an OFF signal based on the detection of the object of interest in the image data, or lack thereof. A high beam control of the vehicle is turned ON based on the ON signal or turned OFF based on the OFF signal. The controller modifies a future response time at which the OFF signal is generated based on an external overriding of the ON signal or the OFF signal.

An imaging system for a vehicle is provided for distinguishing between tail lights of another vehicle and a flashing red stop light. The system includes an imager configured to image a forward external scene and to generate image data corresponding to the acquired images; and a processor configured to receive and analyze the image data to identify red light sources and to further analyze each red light source to determine if the red light source is detected for a predetermined time period. If the red light source is not detected within a predetermined time period after it is detected, the processor determines that the red light source is a flashing red stop light. Otherwise, if the red light source is detected for a predetermined time period, the processor determines that the red light source may be a tail light of another vehicle.

An imaging system and method is provided that generates image data. A processor is configured to process the image data and to generate a signal in response to analysis of the image data and a selected mode of operation. The processor selects either a village mode or a non-village mode as a mode of operation depending on whether at least one characteristic in the image data meets village detect conditions. The processor monitors an ambient light level over a period of time and modifies the village detect conditions when the ambient light level reaches a threshold that indicates that the driver's eyes have adapted to a bright ambient light level.

A system for controlling equipment of a vehicle is provided. The system is configured to image a scene external and forward of the controlled vehicle and to generate image data corresponding to acquired images including a controller for receiving and analyzing the image data and for generating a control signal in response to analysis of the image data and in response to a selected mode of operation. The controller analyzes the data in order to detect at least one characteristic in the image data and selects a mode of operation from at least one of the following modes of operation: the controller selects a dark village mode if at least one characteristic reaches a first threshold, a bright village mode if at least one characteristic reaches a second threshold, and a non-village mode if the controller is not operating in either the dark village mode or the bright village mode.

System and method for controlling vehicle equipment responsive to a multi-stage village detection

A carrier of circuit boards includes a base frame having a plurality of first card guides disposed on its upper surface, the first card guides for securing respective first side edges of a corresponding plurality of circuit boards, a plurality of second card guides for securing respective second side edges of the plurality of circuit boards, and a plurality of adjustment members, each being for individually adjusting a distance between a respective pair of one first card guide and one second card guide. A method of preparing a carrying arrangement for a plurality of circuit boards includes providing a carrier for the plurality of circuit boards. Groups of circuit boards having different vertical on-edge dimensions may be interconnected and/or tested by being placed together and individually snugly held on a single carrier shelf.

Independently-adjustable circuit board carrier

A circuit board support rack for vibratory testing of printed circuit board comprises a frame and a board engagement platform fixed with respect to such frame. A board retention member is spaced from the engagement platform. The rack has a first adjustment mechanism, e.g., rows of vertically-spaced apertures, any of which may receive a shoulder screw to thread to the retention member. Such first adjustment mechanism coacts with the frame and the retention member, thereby permitting selection of the dimension by which the engagement platform and the board retention member are spaced apart. The rack also has a second adjustment mechanism, e.g., a plurality of screws threaded to the retention member. Each such screw has a notched locating pin coupled to it. Such second adjustment mechanism is mounted for locating-pin movement toward and away from the engagement platform. The first adjustment mechanism permits configuring the rack for the approximate vertical height of the boards to be tested and the second adjustment mechanism permits secure edge clamping of each board as it is loaded into the rack for vibratory testing.

A new method for analyzing an electrical waveform of the type portrayed on a graph includes the steps of selecting a waveform to be analyzed, establishing the boundary of a window-like area and generating a signal if the waveform is in a predetermined position with respect to the area. For example, a signal such as a failure signal is generated if the waveform is to be out of the area but, in fact, is in the area. The method also includes features for determining certain parameters, e.g., rise time, period and the like, for the waveform. The steps include selecting first and second points on the waveform and determining the time lapsed between points. Details regarding the structure of a new waveform analyzer are also disclosed.

Disclosed is a load carrier for use with a test chamber. Such carrier includes (a) an insertion portion having a length about equal to the thickness of a chamber wall, (b) a carrier portion extending away from the chamber and (c) a flange interposed between the portions for sealing contact with the wall. The insertion portion extends through an opening in a chamber wall to connect to a rack holding printed circuit boards. The carrier portion holds a test device connected to the circuit boards through the load carrier. The load carrier is removable and can operate in 'standalone' fashion or be tested at a location remote from the chamber when another load carrier is substituted in the chamber. Chamber backplane wiring is eliminated or substantially eliminated.

Method for analyzing a circuit board waveform for faults

The invention is an improvement in a carrier of the type used for testing circuit boards in an environmental test chamber. The improvement includes a plurality of frame-supported, spaced-apart shelves. Pairs of shelves are used to hold circuit boards being tested. The position of at least one shelf in such a pair is adjustable to select the proper dimension to support circuit boards of any of several particular sizes. In a highly preferred arrangement, shelves are arranged in two groups. At least one of the two or more shelves in each group is adjustable so that the carrier simultaneously accommodates circuit boards of differing sizes for test. Arrangements are shown whereby circuit boards of varying heights and/or lengths can be mounted in the carrier for simultaneous testing.

Carrier for testing circuit boards

An improved system for testing electrical circuit boards in an environmental test chamber includes a carrier moveable into and out of the chamber. The carrier supports a relatively large number of printed circuit boards to be tested by exposure to extremes of temperature, for example. Each board is electrically linked to a carrier-mounted multiple-conductor 'gang' connector. The chamber has a multiple-conductor gang receptacle into which the connector is plugged as the carrier moves fully into the chamber. Such arrangement provides a way to electrically monitor board testing by instruments outside the chamber. An automated insertion/extraction assembly powers the carrier between an interconnect position and a disconnect position. The circuit boards are handled as a group of 'unit' and the assembly provides both automatic connection and disconnection upon initiation by the chamber operator. Circuit board testing may thereby be accomplished accurately and more expeditiously than with earlier systems.

A product carrier and an environmental test chamber are constructed so that the carrier is positioned by sliding it into the chamber. The leading wall of the carrier includes an extended port for electrical connections and which projects in the direction of sliding movement of the carrier. The extended port mates with a junction to an external test control circuit, the junction being carried on a chamber wall in the path of movement of the carrier, but spaced from the test chamber itself. The external junction, being on that wall, is not exposed to the test environment within the chamber.

A carrier for use in testing circuit boards includes a carrier frame adapted to be mounted vertically within a test chamber and a plurality of circuit board mounting modules for supporting at least one circuit board. The circuit board carrier frame has a plurality of vertically oriented module supports provided thereon and each of the circuit board mounting modules is constructed and arranged to be releasably mounted in one of the module supports. A first electrical connector assembly is mounted on the carrier frame for being connected to a source of electrical energy and test signals and a plurality of second electrical connector assemblies are each connected in circuit with the first electrical connector assembly and are located respectively adjacent the module supports and a third electrical connector assembly is mounted on each of the modules and each is adapted to be connected to one of the second electrical connector assemblies. A plurality of electrical contacts are located on the circuit board mounting modules for engaging individual portions of the circuit board to provide energy and control signals thereto and releasable retainers are pivotally mounted on each module for securing individual circuit boards in the module and in engagement with the electrical contacts.
