An exemplary embodiment of an injector includes a trigger mechanism, an energy source, and a user-operable firing-initiation member. The trigger mechanism can include a floating trigger member having a retaining portion, a ram assembly having a ram configured to pressurize a medicament container for expelling a medicament therefrom, the ram assembly further having a floating trigger engagement member configured to engage the retaining portion of the floating trigger member when the floating trigger member is in a pre-firing condition. The energy source can be associated with the ram for powering the ram to expel the medicament, and the user-operable firing-initiation member can be operable for causing an axial rotation of the floating trigger member from the pre-firing condition to a firing condition in which the floating trigger engagement member is released from the retaining portion to allow the energy source to fire the ram.

An exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure can provide an injector including a trigger mechanism, an energy source, and a user-operable firing-initiation member. The trigger member can include a trigger member having a retainer portion, and a ram assembly having a ram configured to pressurize a medicament container for expelling a medicament therefrom and a trigger engagement member configured to engage the retainer portion of the trigger member in a pre-firing condition. A safety member for use with an injection device is disclosed. The safety member includes a blocking ring extending into a housing of the injection device in blocking association with a latch member associated with a trigger mechanism of the injector, in which the blocking ring blocks movement of a portion of the trigger mechanism into a firing position. The safety member further includes a manipulable portion disposed outside the housing and configured for hand-manipulation by a user to remove the safety member from the housing to unblock the firing mechanism to enable firing of the injector.

A medicament dispensing mechanism is disclosed that is configured to eject successive doses of the medicament from a medicament chamber. An embodiment of the dispensing mechanism includes a housing and a plunger rod configured for ejecting the doses of medicament from the chamber. The dispensing mechanism further includes an actuation mechanism that comprises a trigger associated with the housing and having a ready and a fired position with respect thereto. The trigger is configured for manipulation by a user for successive movement in a generally axial dosing motion from the ready position to the fired position in which the trigger is associated with the plunger rod to cause the plunger rod to eject one of the doses of a predetermined volume and a resetting motion from the fired position to the ready position that comprises axial rotation, wherein the trigger is uncoupled from the plunger rod during the resetting motion.

A push button safety injector includes a housing having a proximal end, a distal end spaced from the proximal end, and a longitudinal axis. An injection ram is positioned along the longitudinal axis and configured to actuate a fluid chamber. The injection ram is biased toward the distal end in an initial position. A sliding member is configured to retain the injection ram in the initial position. A safety member confines radial movement of the sliding member in the initial position and allows radial movement of the sliding member in an armed position. A button is moveable between an initial extended position and a depressed position. The button is engagable with the sliding member and configured to move the sliding member radially in the armed position. The sliding member releases the injection ram when the button is in the depressed position.

In illustrative embodiments, apparatus and associated methods relate to an aircraft cabin with an elevated zone along a centerline, and a main deck with passenger seating space located under the elevated zone. In an illustrative example, the elevated zone may include an elevated walkway between, for example, one or more cabins on either lateral side of the walkway.
