This invention relates to a method, an apparatus, a computer program product and a system for a first serial and a second serial interface for connecting or disconnecting a power terminal of a first serial interface to a power terminal of a second serial interface based on a voltage level at an identification terminal of the second serial interface, wherein each interface comprising at least one data line and power supply line.

The present invention pertains to a closed loop over-voltage protection for audio/video connection interfaces of devices especially of mobile devices. The over-voltage protection circuit for mobile devices comprising at least one connector with at least one electrical contact for connecting external devices and at least one internal contact to a circuitry using said connector, wherein said over-voltage protection circuit comprises: an electrically operated switch connected between an electrical contact of said connector and an internal contact to said circuitry, a control element to operate said electrically operated switch, wherein said control element is connected to said switch to operate said switch, a first voltage determining unit to detect a voltage between said contact of said connector and said electrically operated switch, and which is connected to said control element, and a second voltage determining unit to detect a voltage between said internal contact to said circuitry and said electrically operated switch, and which is connected to said control element wherein said control element is configured to open or close said switch based on the voltages detected at said internal contact to said circuitry and said contact of said connector.

Over-voltage protection circuit

A circuit and a method are provided for protecting sensitive circuitry from over voltage and over current during a double fault situation. The circuit may be used in a portable electronic device, and may include an over voltage protection component and an over current protection component. The over voltage protection component may be coupled across power supply inputs of a load of the portable electronic device. The over current protection component is configured in the circuit to provide over current protection to the load of the portable electronic device at least when the over current protection component provides over current protection to the over voltage protection component.

Circuitry protection arrangement

The invention relates to a method for storing data (DATA) on a memory medium (MEM). The data (DATA) forms a file totality (FILE) and the memory medium (MEM) includes several unit-storage areas (U-U). At least one first bookkeeping (FDE, FAT) is maintained of the storage state of the memory medium, which consists of information of the location in the unit-storage areas of the data belonging to each file totality. In the storing process&#x2014;the data is stored in the unit storage areas and&#x2014;the said first bookkeeping, for example, concerning the location of the data in the unit storage areas, is updated. Method and apparatus for dividing and storing data into plural files

Display apparatus including a display and an orientation sensitive interface mechanism is disclosed. In an exemplary embodiment, the orientation sensitive interface includes first and second loudspeaker pairs. The first loudspeaker pair includes first and second loudspeakers and the second loudspeaker pair includes the second and third loudspeaker. The first and second loudspeaker pairs are disposed along transverse directions to each other. The display apparatus comprises a switch which switches between the first loudspeaker pair and the second loudspeaker pair. By providing the respective loudspeaker pairs, and switching between them, it is possible to orient the display apparatus in transverse directions corresponding to respective loudspeaker pairs, yet maintain a substantially stereophonic reproduction for each orientation.
