An inrush current protection circuit for a solid state lighting fixture is provided. The inrush current protection circuit includes one or more current limiting devices and one or more switching devices coupled in parallel with the one or more current limiting devices. The one or more switching devices are configured in a first state when the solid state lighting fixture draws an inrush current from a power source. The inrush current is provided to the one or more current limiting devices when the one or more switching devices are in the first state. The one or more switching devices are configured in a second state when the solid state lighting fixture draws a steady-state current from the power source. The steady-state current bypasses the one or more current limiting devices when the one or more switching devices are in the second state.

A solid state lighting fixture that can be used in outdoor and indoor recessed lighting applications. The solid state lighting fixture has a recessed housing configured to be installed in a recess, and a solid state light assembly capable of being secured to the housing outside the recess. The solid state light assembly is at least partially made of a heat dissipating material capable transferring heat generated by the solid state light assembly to ambient air.

Solid state lighting fixtures

A lighting fixture is provided. The lighting fixture may include one or more circuit boards having a plurality of LED light sources. The lighting fixture may further include one or more lens assemblies coupleable to the one or more circuit boards. The one or more lens assemblies may include a frame defining a plurality of openings. The one or more lens assemblies may further include a plurality of lenses molded to the frame. The plurality of lenses may be molded to the frame such that each of the plurality of lenses is at least partially positioned within a corresponding opening of the plurality of openings defined by the frame.

Reduced glare light fixtures are provided. In one example implementation, a reduced glare light fixture includes a light emitting diode (LED) system. The LED system includes at least one LED module having one or more LED devices. The reduced glare light fixture further includes a bezel physically coupled to the LED system engine. The bezel has one or more glare reduction openings. At least one of the one or more glare reduction openings is configured to be approximately coaxial with one LED of the one or more LED devices.

Reduced glare light fixtures are provided. In one example implementation, a reduced glare light fixture includes a light emitting diode (LED) system. The LED system includes at least one LED module having one or more LED devices. The reduced glare light fixture further includes a bezel physically coupled to the LED system engine. The bezel has one or more glare reduction tubes. At least one of the one or more glare reduction tubes is configured to be approximately coaxial with one LED of the one or more LED devices.

Lighting fixtures are provided. In one example implementation, the lighting fixture can include a housing portion and one or more modular lighting components mechanically coupled to the housing portion. Each modular lighting component can include a lighting assembly (e.g., an LED lighting assembly) and a heat sink portion. The one or more modular lighting components can be selectively removable from the housing portion to configure the lighting fixture for a plurality of different lighting configurations.

A lighting fixture can include a housing and a plurality of modules positioned within the housing. The plurality of modules can be distributed along a front portion of the housing. Each module of the plurality of modules includes a plurality of light emitting diodes and is independently mountable in the housing such that a number of modules in the plurality of modules is selectable.

A luminaire including a housing made of thermally conductive material having a top, a bottom and two opposite sides connecting the top to the bottom, each side having plurality of external, vertically spaced, substantially parallel cooling fins that extend longitudinally and project laterally outwardly of the housing, preferably at a shallow downward and outward angle. The housing configuration provides a large surface area per unit of housing length to optimize heat dissipation. A configurable, cartridge-like LED bezel assembly&#x2014;readily replaceable in the field&#x2014;is supported on the bottom of the housing. A driver for the LED assembly&#x2014;also readily replaceable in the field&#x2014;is located within the housing.

Lighting fixtures are provided. In one example implementation, a lighting fixture can include a housing, one or more drivers, and means for securing the one or more drivers to the housing to decrease thermal resistance between one or more of the drivers and the housing. The lighting fixture can also include an LED system comprising a light engine having a plurality of LED devices. The plurality of LED devices can be arranged on an LED board of the light engine such that a first portion of the LED board has a first density of LED devices and a second portion of the LED board has a second density of LED devices. The first density can be different than the second density.
