A system or method utilizes one or more outside sensors to measure one or more outside air parameters, and optionally one or more inside sensors to measure inside air parameters. A processor is configured to at least partially control the operation of an air cleaner based on at least one of the one or more outside air paraments, or a comparison of at least one of the one or more outside air parameters to at least of one of the one or more inside air parameters. The system and method may use artificial intelligence to provide additional information to the controller to assist in controlling the air cleaner.

Air cleaning system utilizing outside air parameters

An air ionization unit is provided to ionize air to remove particulates and to release cleaned air. Air moves into the air ionization unit where it may be first filtered by an air intake filter. The air is moved, preferably by a fan, into contact with an ion generator, where the air is ionized. One or more (such as two) other fans may be used to provide airflow to (1) at least partially remove ions emanating from the air that has been exposed to the ion generator, and (2) to push the cleaned air through one or more ozone filters and out of the air ionization unit. The air ionization unit may also include an outgoing air filter, and one or more doors to access the air intake filter and/or the air ionization unit.

Air ionization system and method

An ionization device may be configured to be portable, and to rest on a surface such as a floor or desk top. The ionization device includes an air-intake port, an ion generator, an ozone catalyst for removing at least some ozone from air, and an air discharge. Air enters the device through the air-intake port, and at least some of the air is ionized to remove particulates. The air is then moved past or through the ozone catalyst to remove at least some of the ozone from the air. A controller may be used to monitor particulates, temperature, humidity, and/or other relevant factors and/or to adjust the ionization level.

Air ionization system and device

Ionization systems and methods include moving air into contact with one or more ion generators and then past an ozone removal assembly to remove at least some ozone from the air. The air may be moved by a fan and may be filtered before contacting the one or more ion generators. The amount of one or more of the following of the air may be measured: the amount of ions, particulates, temperature, humidity, and other relevant factors. The ionization amount may be adjusted based on one or more of the measured amounts. The one or more ion generators and ozone removal assembly may be constructed as part of a single unit so they can be removed and replaced easily.
