Veterinary table

A veterinary table assembly having a support assembly and a table mounted to the support assembly. The table is operable to rotate with respect to the support assembly at least approximately 90 degrees between a first position and a second position. Preferably, the table is also operable to move vertically between a lowered position and a raised position. The table assembly also preferably includes a back panel mounted to the support assembly for restraining an animal on the table.

An arrangement for handling a load, such as an automotive component or the like, includes a jack assembly,, a stand,, and a platform assembly,that can be secured to the load and transferred between the jack assembly and stand. The jack assembly,includes a wheeled base supporting a piston-and-cylinder assembly. The stand,includes a beam,supported on a column,for relative height adjustment, and a docking tube,or the like supported at a free end of the beam. The platform assembly,presents a receiver block,sized for receipt on a receiver pin,of the jack assembly, and a docking pin,or the like sized for receipt in the docking tube,of the stand. As such, the load can be secured to the platform assembly and transferred between the jack assembly and the stand so that the load can be serviced and replaced.

Arrangement for handling a load

A splined sleeve assembly is provided for use on a component support apparatus such as a clutch jack or the like. The support apparatus includes a base, a lift arm supported on the base for movement between a lowered position and a raised position, and a piston and cylinder assembly connected between the base and the lift arm for moving the lift arm between the lowered and raised positions. The support apparatus also includes a hinge plate supported on the lift arm for pivotal movement between raised and lowered positions, and the splined sleeve assembly includes a cylindrical support shaft adapted to be mounted on the hinge plate. A tubular sleeve presents a longitudinal axis and includes a cylindrical inner surface sized for axial and rotational sliding receipt on the support shaft, and an outer surface that includes a plurality of longitudinally extending splines adapted to engage a clutch or other component. When the hinge plate is pivoted to the raised position, the longitudinal axis of the support shaft is disposed in a substantially horizontal plane, and when the hinge plate is pivoted to the lowered position, the longitudinal axis of the support shaft is disposed in a substantially vertical plane.
