The invention relates to an arrangement and a method for configuring MO models for a cell hosted by an RBS. The cell is served by a plurality of transmission points, where each transmission point is covering a subarea of the cell. The cell is modeled by an instance of a first MO. A set of equipment of each transmission point is modeled by an instance of a second MO. The method comprises adding () an instance of a third MO for each subarea comprising attributes defining the usage of the transmission point covering the subarea. The method also comprises defining () relationships between the instance of the first MO and each instance of the third MOs, and defining () a relationship between the added instance of the third MO and the instance of the second MO modeling the set of equipment of the transmission point covering the corresponding subarea..

Method and arrangement for configuring managed object model for combined cell

A telecom node () such as a base station is configured to detect events. A low priority event may not be serious enough on its own to raise an alarm to a network management system () managing the telecom node (). However, the low priority event can collectively have a serious impact on the network performance if the event occurs over multiple nodes () of the network (). When a low priority event occurs over multiple nodes (), the telecom node () notifies the network management system () of the event by raising an alarm so that the situation can be addressed. In a partitioned network installation, not all neighboring nodes () are managed by a same network management system (). When the alarm is raised to the network management system (), other network management systems () managing the neighboring nodes () are notified of the alarm by the network management system ().

Alarm and event coordination between telecom nodes

A method of operating a telecommunications network () comprises detecting an insufficient software situation for a target radio base station (); a software source server () authorizing obtention of satisfactory software for the target radio base station from a source radio base station; and, the target radio base station obtaining the satisfactory software from the source radio base station. In example embodiments, the insufficient software situation can be either a missing software situation or an upgrade-required software situation.

Software distribution between radio base stations

Cell outage within a wireless communication network is automatically mitigated. This way, neither manual operator intervention nor manual base station reconfiguration is needed to cover problematic cells. Quality of wireless services provided by the network improves when cell outage is automatically mitigated. In one embodiment, cell outage is mitigated in a wireless communication network by automatically communicating cell status messages between radio base stations or within a node that controls the radio base stations () indicating whether one or more cells within the network are currently disabled or expected to be disabled. The coverage area of one or more preexisting cells is modified to cover those cells which are currently disabled or expected to be disabled as indicated by the cell status messages (). The inter-base station interface can also be used to send messages directly between the base stations indicating addition of new cells or deletion of preexisting cells.
