The present disclosure relates to an un-manned aerial vehicle () for aligning a first directive antenna () in a direction Dtowards a second antenna (), comprising a docking interface () arranged to attach the aerial vehicle () to a first alignment device () of the first directive antenna () and an alignment actuator () arranged to mechanically interface with the alignment device () and to actuate alignment of the first directive antenna () based on an alignment control signal. The aerial vehicle further comprises a control unit () configured to generate an alignment control signal.

Alignment means for directive antennas

The present disclosure relates to an oscillator device () comprising an amplifier unit () and a tunable waveguide resonator () which in turn comprises a rectangular waveguide part () having electrically conducting inner walls () and a first waveguide port (). The amplifier unit () is arranged to be electrically connected to the waveguide resonator () via the first waveguide port () by means of a first connector (). The waveguide resonator () comprises at least one tuning element () positioned within the waveguide part (), wherein each tuning element () comprises an electrically conducting body () and a holding rod (). The holding rod () is attached to the electrically conducting body () and is movable from the outside of the waveguide resonator () such that the electrically conducting body () can be moved between a plurality of positions within the waveguide part () by means of the holding rod ().

Tunable oscillator device

The present disclosure relates to a device () adapted for aligning a first directive antenna () in an alignment direction Dtowards a second antenna (). The device is adapted to acquire measurement data regarding: &#x22c5;&#x2014;a first signal power () received from the second antenna () using a first effective antenna aperture () when the first directive antenna () is moved along an angular span () passing a desired alignment angle () along a certain direction (); and &#x22c5;&#x2014;a second signal power () received from the second antenna () using a second effective antenna aperture () when the first directive antenna () is moved along an angular span () passing a desired alignment angle () along a certain direction, the second effective antenna aperture () being smaller than the first effective antenna aperture (). The device () is furthermore adapted to determine the alignment direction Das an angle () in the angular span (), at which angle () a local maximum value () for both the first signal power () and the second signal power () coincide.

It is provided a waveguide comprising a tubular, electrically conductive waveguide body, the waveguide having a rectangular cross-section. The waveguide further comprises an electrically conductive foil comprising at least one matching portion arranged within the waveguide body, extending along a propagation direction of the waveguide body, and at least one connection portion arranged outside of the waveguide body, for connecting the waveguide to a component, wherein the matching portion of the foil is tapered in a propagation direction of the waveguide and arranged to form a ridge protruding from a sidewall of the waveguide along part of the length of the waveguide, and wherein the connection portion extends outside of the waveguide, in a propagation direction of the waveguide and in the same plane as the matching portion. Transition between a tubular waveguide body and an external planar connection portion through a planar matching ridge in the waveguide body

The present disclosure relates to a waveguide transition arrangement () comprising a first ground plane () with a first aperture (), a feed probe () that crosses the first aperture (), a second ground plane () with a second aperture (), and a waveguide resonator part () that has an opening () that faces the second aperture (). The first ground plane () faces the second ground plane () and is positioned between the feed probe () and the second ground plane (), and the second ground plane () faces the waveguide resonator part (). A wall structure () is at least partly arranged between the first ground plane () and the second ground plane () such that a first cavity () is formed in an enclosed volume between them. The first aperture () and the second aperture () are electromagnetically connected to the first cavity (), and where the second aperture () to a second cavity () in the waveguide resonator part () which is electromagnetically connected to a waveguide section () via a third aperture ().

An antenna arrangement for LOS-MIMO communication, comprising first and second directive antenna units, a mounting bracket, and a connecting element attached to at least one of the directive antenna units and arranged to separate the directive antenna units by a distance. The connecting element is rotatably arranged in relation to the mounting bracket, wherein a rotation of the connecting element about the rotation axis changes an effective distance d between the first and the second directive antenna units.

Rotatable antenna arrangement for LOS-MIMO

A mounting arrangement and an antenna mounting device for mounting a directional antenna to fixed infrastructure. The antenna mounting device comprises a first adjustment element comprising a first end, an infrastructure part for attaching the antenna mounting device to the fixed infrastructure, and an antenna attachment part for attaching the directional antenna to the antenna mounting device. Moreover, the first adjustment element is coupled to the infrastructure part and to the antenna attachment part, and configured to adjust a first orientation of the antenna attachment part relative to an orientation of the infrastructure part, to provide adjustment in a first direction of the directional antenna. Furthermore, the first end of the first adjustment element is configured to remain at a fixed position relative to the infrastructure part, independently of the relative orientation of the infrastructure and the antenna attachment part.

Antenna mount

A surface wave converter for transmitting electromagnetic signals via a surface wave conduit. The surface wave converter comprises an input port, an interface, and a plurality of waveguide adapters. The input port is configured to receive an input signal. The plurality of wave guide adapters are for mounting along a circumference of the surface wave conduit and are configured to jointly excite a surface wave on the surface wave conduit based on the input signal. The interface configured to distribute the input signal received on the input port over the waveguide adapters via respective waveguide adapter ports.

Surface wave converter

The present invention relates to a tuneable waveguide structure comprising a first, second, third and fourth electrically conducting inner wall. The first inner wall and the second inner wall are facing each other, and the third inner wall and the fourth inner wall are facing each other, the intended extension of the electrical field is parallel to the first inner wall and the second inner wall, and perpendicular to the third inner wall and the fourth inner wall. The waveguide structure comprises at least one tuning device that comprises a wall part that is movably arranged along an extension that is perpendicular to the intended extension of the electrical field. Each wall part is at least indirectly connected to support rods that are in sliding engagement with a corresponding sloped surface that is laterally adjustable in the extension of the slope. Each wall part may be constituted by an electrically conducting foil.

Electrically tuneable waveguide structure

The present invention relates to a microwave signal transition component () having a first signal conductor side () and a second signal conductor side (). The signal transition component () is arranged for transfer of microwave signals from the first signal conductor side () to the second signal conductor side (). The transfer component () comprises at least one, at least partly circumferentially running, electrically conducting frame (), a dielectric filling () positioned at least partly within said conducting frame (), at least one filling aperture () miming through the dielectric filling, and, for each filling aperture (), an electrically conducting connection () that at least partly is positioned within said filling aperture (). The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a microwave signal transition component according to the above.

Method of manufacturing a signal transition component having a C-shaped conducting frame

The present invention relates to a transition arrangement () between a SIW and a waveguide interface (). The SIW comprises a dielectric material (), a first and second metal layer () and a first and second electric wall element () running essentially parallel and electrically connecting the metal layers (). The transition arrangement () comprises a coupling aperture () in the first metal layer () and a third wall element () running between the first and second electric wall elements (). The transition arrangement () further comprises an intermediate transition element () with a first and second main surface (), and a transition aperture () having first and second opening () with corresponding first and second widths (w, w). The transition element () is mounted over the coupling aperture (), the first width (w) exceeding the second width (w) and the transition from the first width (w) to the second width (w) taking place between the first opening () and the second opening () in at least one step (). The second opening () is mounted to the waveguide interface () having an interface opening () being offset relative the second opening (), a front step () being formed.

Transition between a SIW and a waveguide interface

It is provided a waveguide E-plane band-pass filter comprising a tubular, electrically conductive waveguide body. An electrically conductive foil is arranged in the waveguide body and extending along a longitudinal direction of the waveguide body, the foil comprising a plurality of resonator openings. Furthermore, the waveguide body comprises at least one ridge protruding from an inner wall of the waveguide body and extending longitudinally along the longitudinal direction of the waveguide body. The foil is in mechanical contact with said at least one ridge and arranged to divide an inner volume of the waveguide body into two portions. It is also provided a diplexer, a radio transceiver, and a method for filtering a signal using such a filter.

Waveguide E-plane filter

A method for predicting the performance of a Line-Of-Sight, LOS, multiple-input multiple-output, MIMO, radio link, the method comprising the steps of determining a single-input single-output, SISO, radio link operating condition comprising a SISO system gain, and calculating a LOS-MIMO incremental gain of the LOS-MIMO radio link, as well as modifying the determined SISO radio link operating condition by accounting for the calculated LOS-MIMO incremental gain in the SISO system gain to obtain a LOS-MIMO radio link operating condition comprising a LOS-MIMO system gain, and also obtaining a set of operating condition requirements of the LOS-MIMO radio link. The method also comprising the step of predicting the LOS-MIMO radio link performance by comparing the LOS-MIMO radio link operating condition to the operating condition requirements of the LOS-MIMO radio link.

Radio link performance prediction

An antenna arrangement comprising a SIW with at least one radiating arrangement. The SIW comprises a dielectric material, a first and second metal layer and a first and second electric wall element running essentially parallel and electrically connecting the metal layers. For each radiating arrangement, the antenna arrangement comprises at least one coupling aperture in the first metal layer, and for each coupling aperture there is a third wall element running between the first and second electric wall elements, across a SIW longitudinal extension (e). For each radiating arrangement, the antenna arrangement further comprises an at least partly electrically conducting antenna component which comprises at least four radiating elements and is surface-mounted on the first metal layer, enclosing at least one coupling aperture. For each radiating arrangement, electromagnetic signals are arranged to be transmitted between said coupling aperture and said radiating elements.

SIW antenna arrangement

The present invention relates to a waveguide tuning device () arranged for mounting in a waveguide structure () which has a longitudinal extension (L) and comprises a first inner wall (), a second inner wall (), a third inner wall () and a fourth inner wall. The inner walls are arranged such that a rectangular cross-section is obtained for the waveguide structure. The first inner wall () and the second inner wall () have a first length (b) and are facing each other. The third inner wall () and the fourth inner wall () have a second length (a) and are facing each other. The electrical field (E) is parallel to the main surfaces of the first inner wall () and the second inner wall (). The tuning device () is electrically controllable and arranged for mounting at the first inner wall () and/or the second inner wall (). The present invention also relates to a tunable waveguide structure.
