The present invention relates to a method for gathering-up a tubular film portion on at least two gathering fingers of a packaging machine and to a gathering apparatus of a packaging machine for carrying out the method as claimed in the invention. The method is distinguished in that the tubular film portion is expanded at least in a part region when being gathered-up onto the gathering fingers. The gathering apparatus as claimed in the invention is distinguished in that the gathering fingers can be driven into a gathering-up position for gathering-up the tubular film portion, in which gathering-up position the tubular film portion is expanded at least in a part region.

A feeding system for feeding workpieces to a device by means of a robot comprises a feeding station and at least one transport carriage, wherein the feeding station comprises a robot fastening section and is designed that a workpiece holder can be held in the feeding station in a holding position defined in relation to the robot fastening section from which a robot attached to the robot fastening section can grasp the workpieces. The transport carriage also has at least one holding device for holding a workpiece holder in a first holding position. The feed system comprises a coupling section wherein the transport carriage can be coupled to the feeding station using a coupling device in such a way that a workpiece holder held in the transport carriage in the first holding position is brought into the receiving position after the transport carriage has been coupled with the coupling section. The present invention concerns a device and method for reefing a portion of tubular film, the reefing device having at least one reefing finger and at least one drive unit. The drive unit has advancing means, which, for reefing the portion of tubular film, is brought into operative connection with the reefing finger at least at the height of a point of engagement, while enclosing the portion of tubular film, and moves the portion of tubular film in relation to the reefing finger. The device according to the invention and the method according to the invention are distinguished in particular in that the position of the at least one point of engagement can be changed along the reefing finger as reefing progresses or the position of the point of engagement on the reefing finger is changed.

The present invention relates to a method for at least partially wrapping a piece-goods stack, in which a tubular portion is pulled over the piece-goods stack, and to an apparatus for carrying out the method according to the invention. The method according to the invention is distinguished in particular in that, during the pulling of the tubular portion over the piece-goods stack, pleats are produced in a specific manner in the tubular portion, said pleats extending obliquely over at least one side of the goods stack. The invention is achieved in terms of the apparatus in that the apparatus has a reefing device for reefing and/or drawing over the tubular portion, said reefing device being configured in such a manner that it reefs and/or unreefs regions of the tubular portion at different speeds and/or at different times.

In a method for packaging an object using a hose-shaped stretch foil having laterally extending folds guided axially with respect to the stretch foil and along a length of the object, a foil hood sized to a shape of the object to be packaged is formed, which hood is reefed onto several gripper devices movable in essentially horizontal direction, of a lifting frame movable in essentially a vertical direction. The reefed foil hood is tentered in an essentially horizontal direction by the movement of the gripper device such that the tentered opening of the foil hood is larger than the contour of the object to be packed and wherein the foil hood is expanded in essentially horizontal direction. The foil hood is then pulled over the object by the essentially vertical movement of the lifting frame, wherein the foil hood is pulled off from the gripper device and is expanded in essentially vertical direction.
