A disconnection unit () is described for instantaneous disconnection of a load connected to a vessel () with the help of a wire, cable, chain or the like () that runs on a topside of an assigned part of an open deck () of a vessel, where the unit () comprises a housing () that contains an explosive part (), said explosive part comprises, at least, one explosive unit () formed as a directed charge with a blast-off side, where the unit () is arranged to extend above the deck () of the vessel, and the unit () comprises a rod mechanism () arranged to hold the housing with the explosive part () adjoining said wire, cable, chain or the like () that shall be cut. Also described is an anchor handling vessel comprising, at least, one disconnection unit.

Disconnection unit for instantaneous disconnection of a load

The mass flow rate of bulk solids in a pneumatic transport system is measured in real time. At least two pressure gauges (P, P) are provided in a pipe section of the transport system. The pressure drop &#x394;P between the pressure gauges is determined during a gas-solids flow of air and bulk solids through the pipe section. The suspension density &#x3c1;of the flowing mixture of air and bulk solids is calculated. The bulk solids mass flow rate Mat a given location along a given length of a pipeline is estimated based at least on the suspension density &#x3c1;of the flowing mixture.

Method for real time measurement of mass flow rate of bulk solids

A system is described for handling a wire, a chain, a cable, etc. () onboard a vessel, comprising a number of winches () to pull in and let out said wire, chain, etc. (), and also a number of tow pins () and shark jaws (), mounted in an area at the stern of the vessel, and which is arranged to guide and/or to hold said wire, chain, etc. () that runs from or to said winches (). The system further comprises at least one centering device () arranged between said tow pins () and shark jaws () and winches (), preferably adjoining said tow pins () and shark jaws (), where the centering device () comprises at least two guiding plates () that can be raised and lowered and which are arranged to guide and possibly to hold said wire, chain, etc. ().
