Downhole gauge () assembly comprising a gauge housing () with a receiving aperture () having a sealing means () with an inner sealing surface (). A gauge () is arranged in or in association to the gauge housing (), a metal cable () with an inner bore is in communication with the interior of the housing (). The cable runs from a downhole location to the top of a subsurface well. An electrical or optical conductor () runs through the bore of the metal cable. The conductor () is connected to the gauge () through a connector (). The electrical or optical connector () is arranged within the gauge housing () and has been passed through said receiving aperture () of the gauge housing (). The inner sealing surface () seals on the outer surface of the metal cable ().

Downhole gauge assembly

Electrical and/or optical connector housing () with a wet-mateable connector receiving part (), adapted to receive a mating electrical and/or optical connector counterpart when surrounded by a hydrostatic pressure, such as the pressure of surrounding water. The connector housing () exhibits a compartment () that is pressure balanced with respect to said hydrostatic pressure, wherein one or more electrical and/or optical conductors () are guided from the receiving part () to a penetrator (), said penetrator () constituting a pressure barrier between said compartment () and an opposite end of the penetrator (). The housing () comprises at least one wall part () adapted to be flexed by an exterior hydrostatic pressure exerting force on the housing (), thereby changing the volume of said inner compartment (), whereby said wall part () constitutes at least a part of the encapsulation of said compartment ().

Housing for wet-mateable connector and penetrator assembly

A well head barrier assembly () including a termination of an instrument tube () installed in a well and a primary pressure barrier () for the well pressure comprising a tool () arranged for being pushed into a passage () in which the instrument tube () is arranged. The closing of the passage () provides an additional secondary pressure barrier in the well head, thus enabling re-establishment of a double pressure barrier following a breakage of the instrument tube ().
