A radially expansible press plunger has a base plate, a first expansion tool and a second expansion tool. The first expansion tool and the second expansion tool are movable in relation to each other in the axial direction. The first expansion tool has at least one inclined plane surface. The second expansion tool has at least one inclined plane surface corresponding to the at least one inclined plane surface on the first expansion tool. Each inclined plane surface on the first expansion tool contacts and applies pressure to the corresponding inclined plane surface of the second expansion tool when the expansible press plunger is in the radially expanded state. An attachment unit for attaching a container sealing element to a container body and a method for attaching a container sealing element to a container body are also disclosed.

A radially expansible press plunger including a base plate and a first plunger skirt. A circumferential edge portion of the first plunger skirt is arranged at a guiding surface of the base plate and being arranged radially inward of the circumferential edge of the bottom surface. The first plunger skirt is resiliently transformable between an unexpanded state and a radially expanded state. The expansible press plunger further comprises a second plunger skirt having a plunger skirt side wall with a circumferential edge portion at a bottom end of the second plunger skirt and being arranged radially outward of the circumferential edge portion of the first plunger skirt. The second plunger skirt is resiliently transformable between an unexpanded state and a radially expanded state under influence from the circumferential edge portion of the first plunger skirt.

Expansible plunger; an attachment unit and a method for attaching a container element in a container body

The present disclosure relates to a positioning unit for positioning a container element in a container body, comprising a base plate of a rigid material, and a plunger skirt of a resiliently deformable material. A footprint surface of the base plate has a circumferential edge with a side edge portion comprising an inwardly curved segment. The plunger skirt is transformable between an unexpanded state and an expanded state by relative movement in relation to the base plate. The disclosure further relates to an attachment unit for attaching a container element to a container body and to an apparatus for attaching container elements to container bodies in a flow of containers. In addition, the disclosure relates to a method of positioning a container element in a container body by means of the positioning unit.

The invention concerns an apparatus for automatically placing a scoop in a container, where the apparatus comprises a scoop supply unit adapted to supply scoops to a release position of the scoop supply unit in a hanging manner, a first gripping device configured to grip an individual scoop at the release position of the supply unit and to move the scoop to a delivery position where the scoop is released from the gripping device in order to place the scoop in a container, where the supply unit comprises two sets of reciprocating holding fingers adapted to release one scoop at a time in the release position, where the gripping device comprises two gripping fingers having a semi-circular shape corresponding to the shape of the scoop, such that the inner sides of the gripping fingers bears on the rim of the scoop. The invention also concerns a method for automatically placing a scoop in a container. The advantage of the inventive apparatus is that one scoop at the time can be picked up and placed in a container in a secure way.

The invention concerns an apparatus for manufacturing of containers from blanks of a cardboard based material, said apparatus comprising: a container body forming unit configured to form a cylindrical container body from a substantially plane blank of a multilayer material comprising at least a supporting cardboard layer and a weldable layer; a welding unit configured to fasten an end closure to the container body, said welding unit comprising an inductive welding energy generator for melting of the weldable layer; and transporting means configured to transport a flow of body blanks to the container body forming unit, to transport a flow of container bodies from the container body forming unit to the welding unit, and to transport a flow of container bodies provided with end closures from the welding unit. The invention is characterized in that the transporting means comprises: a first movable gripping arrangement configured to grip at least two container bodies and move these container bodies simultaneously to the welding unit; and a transferring and positioning arrangement configured to transfer container bodies from the container body forming unit to the first movable gripping arrangement and to position the container bodies in a controlled manner to ensure that the first movable gripping arrangement can grip the at least two container bodies properly, wherein the welding unit is configured to simultaneously fasten an end closure to each of the at least two container bodies. The invention also concerns a method for operating an apparatus of the above type.

Apparatus and method for manufacturing of containers

The invention concerns an apparatus for automatic application of lids to containers, said apparatus comprising a rotatable device unit comprising a plurality of circumferentially distributed lid holding members, a lid feeding unit, a glue application unit and a lid application unit. The lid holding members can be directed to each of the units simultaneously by rotating the rotatable device unit. The rotatable device unit further comprises an item application unit configured to fit an individual additional item onto the lid before the lid is attached to the container. The item application unit comprises an item supply unit and at least one movable gripping device configured to grip an individual additional item from the item supply unit and fit the individual additional item onto the lid. The invention also concerns a method for automatic application of lids to containers.

Apparatus and method for application of lids to containers

An apparatus and method for sealing an open end of a cardboard-based container containing a powder. A transporter is configured to transport a flow of containers to and from an inductive welding unit. The transporter includes a feeding arrangement to separate the containers and a main conveyor member to convey the spaced containers. A movable gripping arrangement is configured to simultaneously grip at least two containers and simultaneously transfer these containers from the main conveyor member to the welding unit. The welding unit is configured to simultaneously fasten a lid to each of the simultaneously transferred containers.
