The present disclosure relates to a method of imaging, involving administration of a bi-phasic formulation followed by application of high frequency sound waves to identify a region of interest. Following identification, a phase shift of the bi-phasic formulation may be activated by a second administration of high frequency sound waves such that gaseous components of the bi-phasic formulation are enlarged and localised at the region of interest.

Method of imaging

The present disclosure related to a method of using high frequency sound waves directed toward an acoustically active particle. The high frequency sound waves may be configured to enlarge the acoustically active particle and oscillate the acoustically active particle, thereby facilitating extravasation of an agent to a tissue compartment of a region of interest.

Method of using high-frequency sound waves

The present invention relates to ultrasound (US) mediated delivery of therapeutic agents, such as the delivery of a drug, gene, nanoparticle or radioisotope, using a bi-phasic microparticle system comprising gas microbubbles, emulsion microdroplets and clusters thereof. Thus, the present invention relates to a cluster composition and a pharmaceutical composition, and their use for delivery of therapeutic agents and as a contrast agent for ultrasound imaging. It further relates to methods for delivering such therapeutic agents and to the use of said compositions.

Ultrasound mediated delivery of drugs

The present invention relates to a method for sterilisation of phospholipid suspensions, useful in the preparation of ultrasound contrast agent precursors comprising phospholipid-stabilised perfluorobutane microbubbles. The method provides sterility assurance, without undue thermal degradation of the phospholipid. The method is also amenable to commercial scale manufacture. Also provided are methods of preparing kits and ultrasound contrast agents incorporating the sterilisation method of the invention.

Lipid sterilization method

The present invention provides an apparatus and method for automated quality control of a substance comprising a compartment wherein a substance is located, a monitoring device coupled to the compartment and configured to monitor at least one quality control parameter prior to an end-use of the substance, and a processor coupled to the monitoring device, wherein the monitoring device is configured to communicate data to the processor for comparing at least one quality control parameter to an end-use value, and wherein the processor is further configured to control the release of the substance from the compartment to its end-use.
