An apparatus includes a light guide. A first light input section receives light in a first direction into said light guide. First direction-dependent outcoupling structures selectively couple out light propagating in said first direction in said light guide. A second light input section receives light in a second direction into said light guide. Said second direction is different than said first direction. Second direction-dependent outcoupling structures selectively couple out light propagating in said second direction in said light guide.

Changing graphics in an apparatus including user interface illumination

A two-sided illumination device including a printed wiring board, a first light source and first translucent member connected to a first side of the wiring board, and a second light source and second translucent member connected to a second side of the wiring board. The first translucent member is configured to transfer light from the first light source to a surface of the first translucent member, while the second translucent member is configured to transfer light from the second light source to a surface of the second translucent member. The illumination device is used for illuminating a user input region of an apparatus.

The invention relates to a mobile device, which comprises a first housing and a second housing, which housings are arranged movable in relation to each other to at least a first and a second position; the first housing comprising a primary display for displaying information and arranged to be visible for a user at least in the first position; the device further comprising a passive image steering element that is adapted to steer at least a part of the view of said primary display to become visible for the user as a secondary display in the second position. Sub-display of a mobile device

It is an object of the invention to provide a electromechanical structure comprising an input device and a printed wired board (), which structure is advantageous in terms of manufacturing and offers freedom to the layout design of the printed wired board, the user interface as well as the appearance of the device itself. It is also an object of the invention to provide a electromechanical structure that is compact and facilitates the customizability and upgradability with a new electronic functionality without any need for modifications to the main electronics of the device. This is achieved by integrating the electromechanical assembly with the mechanical cover part of the electronic device by using an injection moulding process to compose an integrated combination () which is detachable from the electronic device. More precisely the objects of the invention are achieved by combining the injection mould technologies with the printing of electronic wired boards.

Integrated electromechanical arrangement and method of production

A pop-up electronic device has a keypad and display module arranged for slideable engagement with an outer cover wherein the keys of the keypad are nested within the outer cover in the device fully closed position and are exposed in the device fully open position. A protective window is in an overlapping relationship with the display in the device fully closed position and non-overlapping relationship with the display in the device fully open position to allow contact with and direct viewing of the display screen surface. The keypad and display module and protective window are mechanically arranged such that movement of the protective window in one direction causes the module to move in an opposite direction to change the electronic device between device fully open and fully closed positions.

A support for an optical system of a digital camera is constructed which provides adjustable positioning of the lens elements in response to signals from the camera control processor. The support comprises multiple tubes, mounted for relative coaxial movement, which support a lens element. At least one of the tubes is adjustable in position relative to a main support tube. The adjustable tube is engageable by piezoelectric elements. Each piezoelectrical element is mounted to a flexible printed circuit board which contains the camera operating system and is mounted on the support tube.
