This application provides a sound pickup method for a terminal device through a Bluetooth peripheral and a terminal device. The terminal device may pick up sound data through a microphone of the Bluetooth peripheral, and may perform targeted sound effect processing on the sound data picked up by the Bluetooth peripheral by using a preset sound effect DRC parameter corresponding to the Bluetooth peripheral. By using the solution in this application, the terminal device may not only pick up sound through the Bluetooth peripheral, but also perform sound effect processing for different Bluetooth peripherals by using different preset sound effect DRC parameters respectively, to improve the sound effect of the sound picked up through the Bluetooth peripheral, so that a better recording effect can be achieved even if the terminal device is relatively far away from a photographed person or environmental noise surrounding the terminal device is relatively large.

The present disclosure provides a method, system, client, server, and storage medium for creating an instant messaging discussion group. The method may include: sending, by a first client, a request for creating an instant messaging discussion group to a server, and receiving a creation identifier allocated by the server; broadcasting, by the first client, the creation identifier, so that another client other than the first client in an instant messaging application system initiates authentication from the server according to the creation identifier; and receiving, by the first client, a successfully authenticated client list delivered by the server, and selecting at least one client from the client list to create an instant messaging discussion group. Methods, systems, and terminal devices for transmitting information are provided. An exemplary system includes a sending end and at least one receiving end. The sending end is configured to obtain audio data to be transmitted, encode the obtained audio data according to an M-bit unit length, and use a pre-set cross-platform audio interface to control an audio outputting device of the sending end to send the encoded audio data to the at least one receiving end. The M-bit unit length is an encoding length corresponding to each frequency of a number N of frequencies, N is greater than or equal to 2, and M is greater than 0.
