An embodiment may involve: transmitting, by a non-production computational instance and to a central computational system, a configuration for a service provided by the central computational system, wherein the non-production computational instance is arranged to test the configuration; appending, to the configuration at the non-production computational instance, a synchronization identifier to indicate that the configuration has been synchronized with the central computational system; receiving, by a production computational instance and from the non-production computational instance, a copy of the configuration; reading, by the production computational instance, the synchronization identifier from the copy of the configuration; determining that the synchronization identifier is not reflected as part of a synchronization history maintained at the production computational instance; and, in response to determining that the synchronization identifier is not reflected in the synchronization history, transmitting, by the production computational instance, the copy of the configuration to the central computational system.

Synchronization of a shared service configuration across computational instances

A system configured to enable remote control to allow a first user to provide assistance to a second user. The system may receive a command from the second user granting remote control to the first user, enabling the first user to initiate a voice command on behalf of the second user. In some examples, the system may enable the remote control by treating a voice command originating from the first user as though it originated from the second user instead. For example, the system may receive the voice command from a first device associated with the first user but may route the voice command as though it was received by a second device associated with the second user.

A system may include a central computational instance configured to provide a service to a plurality of computational instances, wherein the service is associated with configurations respectively corresponding to the computational instances. The system may also include a computational instance dedicated to a managed network and storing a synchronization history specifying information that was synchronized between the computational instance and the central computational instance. One or more processors may be configured to: (i) receive a configuration of the service into the computational instance, wherein the configuration was received from a non-production computational instance of the plurality of computational instances; (ii) read, from the configuration, a synchronization identifier; (iii) determine that the synchronization identifier does not exist in the synchronization history; and (iv) in response to determining that the synchronization identifier does not exist in the synchronization history, transmit the configuration to the service provided by the central computational instance.

The present approach relates to techniques for efficiently monitoring time-series data for a metric of interest using limited subsets of the time-series data and, based on the modeling, to generate predictions for the metric. Based on the predictions for the metric, one or more actions may be configured to be taken when the predicted value for the metric is outside of a specified range or exceeds a specified threshold.

Prediction based on time-series data

A computing system may run a recurring task, which may use resources, such as logic resources and time, to operate on and/or with a set of data. Accordingly, the frequency at which the recurring task is executed may limit the performance and/or efficiency of the computing system. As such, a scheduler routine may, based on configuration information associated with the recurring task and/or the set of data, schedule the recurring task with a periodicity that may improve the performance and/or efficiency of the computing system.

Periodic task execution in an automated context

Embodiments are provided for calculating improved search scores for records that exhibit supra-threshold slop distances. These embodiments include receiving a search string that includes two or more words and determining, based on the search string, search scores for a plurality of text-based records. Determining a search score for a particular text-based record includes: determining a slop distance for the search string within the particular text-based record; determining that the slop distance is greater than a threshold distance; responsive to determining that the slop distance is greater than the threshold distance, determining an augmented slop distance for the particular text-based record; and determining the search score based on the augmented slop distance. Determining the augmented slop distance includes: identifying two or more groups of words within the search string; determining, for each of the groups of words, group slop distances that are products of intra-group slop distances and missing word penalties.

Enhanced phrase scoring for textual search

Embodiments are provided that include receiving a search query that represents a particular table of a plurality of tables contained in a database and that includes an additional criterion. Records are contained within the tables, which are organized in a tree structure. An index of the database contains a plurality of entries, each corresponding to a respective record in the plurality of tables. A particular entry in the index includes a path string that is indicative of a location, within the tree structure, of a table that contains a record that corresponds to the particular entry. The embodiments also include determining whether the entries in the index satisfy the search query by: (i) determining that the path string of the particular entry begins with a further path string of the particular table, and (ii) responsively determining whether a particular record that corresponds to the particular entry satisfies the additional criterion.

System and method for performing actions based on future predicted metric values generated from time-series data

In some examples, the system may enable the remote control by treating a voice command originating from the first user as though it originated from the second user instead. For example, the system may receive the voice command from a first device associated with the first user but may route the voice command as though it was received by a second device associated with the second user. To enable this functionality, during a remote control session the first device may disable wakeword detection so that the voice command is correctly routed to the second device.

In some examples, the system may enable the remote control by enabling wakeword detection for incoming audio data, enabling a second device to detect a wakeword and corresponding voice command from incoming audio data originating from a first device. For example, the second device may disable and/or modify echo cancellation processing, enabling the second device to detect the voice command from audio output based on the incoming audio data and/or from the incoming audio data itself.
