Various embodiments provide a battery and a method for manufacturing the battery, an apparatus of manufacturing the battery and an electricity-consuming device. In some embodiments, the battery includes a battery cell; a case assembly configured to accommodate the battery cell and including a first portion, in which the first portion is arranged at least one side of the battery cell in a first direction; and a first bonding member, in which at least part of the first bonding member is filled between the first portion and the battery cell and bonds the first portion and the battery cell. A first gap is formed between the first portion and the battery cell, and the first gap is configured to release an expansion stress when the battery cell expands. The solutions provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure can improve the energy density and safety of the battery, and prolong the service life of the battery.

The end cover assembly includes a cover assembly, a terminal assembly, a sealing piece and a first connected flow channel. The cover assembly is provided with an installation hole, and the installation hole penetrates through the cover assembly along an axial direction of the installation hole; the terminal assembly is installed in the installation hole; the sealing piece is configured to seal the installation hole; the first connected flow channel is arranged in at least one of the terminal assembly and the cover assembly, and the first connected flow channel is configured as follows: when the sealing of the sealing piece is invalid, the first connected flow channel enables the inside and the outside of the housing to be communicated through the installation hole.

The battery includes a plurality of battery cells arranged in a first direction and electrically connected to each other. At least one of two adjacent battery cells has a pressure relief mechanism. The pressure relief mechanism is disposed at an end of the battery cell in the first direction. The battery further includes a sampling member connected to the battery cells and configured to perform signal collection on the battery cells, and a protective member disposed between the two adjacent battery cells and disposed opposite the pressure relief mechanism. There is a degassing space between the protective member and the pressure relief mechanism, and the protective member is fixed to the sampling member.

A battery cell is disclosed, including a housing, electrode terminals, and a protective member. The housing includes a wall portion and a fastener, where the fastener comprises a connecting portion and a pressing portion that together define a cavity. At least part of the electrode terminals is positioned within the cavity. The protective member includes a first protective portion covering the connecting portion and a second protective portion covering the pressing portion. The second protective portion extends beyond the pressing portion in a first direction. The present application discloses a battery including a battery cell, a thermal management component, an avoidance chamber and a collection chamber. The battery cell includes a pressure relief mechanism; the thermal management component is configured to adjust a temperature of the battery cell; the avoidance chamber is configured to provide a space allowing the pressure relief mechanism to be actuated; and the collection chamber is configured to collect emissions from the battery cell when the pressure relief mechanism is actuated. The thermal management component is configured such that emissions are capable of passing through the thermal management component when the pressure relief mechanism is actuated, and then entering the collection chamber through the avoidance chamber. Therefore, the pressure relief mechanism may not need to be provided on a side of an electrode terminal of the battery cell and emissions relieved by the pressure relief mechanism may be collected.

A box structure includes a cooling member and a frame. The cooling member includes a main pipe and at least one branch pipe connected to the main pipe. The main pipe is configured to pass a coolant into the branch pipe, and the branch pipe is configured to contact the battery pack to cool the battery pack. An accommodation groove is created at a bottom of the frame, at least a part of the main pipe is located in the accommodation groove, and the main pipe is bonded and fixed to the accommodation groove.
