A calibration loop method and technical solution capable of finding or searching for an optimum setting, which can be applied to mitigate or minimize clock harmonic interference, for each of different channel frequencies used by a wireless communication device such as Bluetooth device. The optimum setting for example may comprise an optimum setting of a supply voltage level provided from a voltage regulator to a frequency generating circuit such as phase-locked loop (PLL), an optimum setting of a capacitance of an adjustable capacitor circuit such as controllable switching capacitor coupled between the input of a phase frequency detector (PFD) of the PLL and the ground, or an optimum setting of a combination of the supply voltage level with capacitance of the controllable switching capacitor.

A wireless transceiver apparatus includes a power detector, an analog signal receiving circuit at wireless signal reception side, and a processing circuit. The power detector is configured at wireless signal transmission side and used for detecting power of a power amplifier on a transmitting path of wireless signal transmission side. The analog signal receiving circuit is couple to the power detector and used for receiving a wireless signal form an antenna. Under signal reception mode, the analog signal receiving circuit transmits the received wireless signal to the processing circuit. Under interference detection mode, the analog signal receiving circuit transfers the received wireless signal (as interference) to the power detector, and the power detector is used for detecting the power of wireless signal to measure an interference power value and transmit the value to the processing circuit.

Wireless transceiver apparatus and method capable of controlling gain(s) of amplifier(s) by detecting power of interference signal in the air with considerations of power saving and smaller circuit area

An exemplary embodiment of a method illustrates a gain control method executed in a wireless signal receiver. The gain control method has the following steps. A wideband channel is continuously monitored to check whether an interference signal exists in a wireless signal. When the interference signal exists in the wireless signal, an interference received signal strength indicator is obtained. A front end gain of the wireless signal receiver is controlled according to the interference received signal strength indicator. When the interference signal exists in the wireless signal, the wireless signal receiver is prohibited from using a maximum front end gain.

It is an objective of the present invention to provide a circuit with a wideband received signal strength indicator, used for multiple systems. A wireless signal transceiving apparatus is provided. The wireless signal transceiving apparatus includes a signal transceiving-end circuit, a transceiving amplify module, an output amplify module, a mixer, a frequency selecting filter, switch modules a first base-band signal transceiver and a second base-band signal transceiver. The transceiving amplify module receives and amplifies a signal from an antenna or the mixer. The output amplify module amplifies the signal from the mixer. The frequency selecting filter filters the signal from the mixer, the first base-band signal transceiver or the second base-band signal transceiver according to the mode selecting signal. The first base-band signal transceiver and the second base-band signal transceiver receive the signal generated by the frequency selecting filter and/or respectively transmit the first and the second base-band output signal.
