A mixing device for mixing exhaust gas from a combustion engine of a vehicle with a solution for lowering the content of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas includes a casing with an exhaust inlet, an exhaust outlet, and a corner region in which an exhaust gas flow is diverted toward the exhaust outlet. The corner region has an opening for a dosing unit. A flow guide is arranged within the casing. The flow guide is configured to divide a total of the exhaust gas flow into a first exhaust gas stream and a second exhaust gas stream. A gap for the second exhaust gas stream is formed between the flow guide and a side wall of the casing. In the side wall the opening for the dosing unit is located. An end region of the flow guide is arranged upstream of the opening for the dosing unit.

Mixing device and aftertreatment device

An exhaust gas aftertreatment device for a combustion engine is disclosed. The device includes an exhaust pipe element having an exhaust duct through which exhaust gas of the combustion engine is flowable and a dosage device which opens into the exhaust duct at a feed point, where the dosage device is configured to introduce a reduction agent into the exhaust pipe element at the feed point. A baffle is arranged in the exhaust duct which divides the exhaust duct at least partially into a first passage and a second passage where the first and second passages have a respective inlet opening and are fluidically arranged in parallel. The feed point is disposed in the first passage and is shielded from the second passage by the baffle where the inlet opening of the second passage is disposed upstream of the feed point.

Exhaust gas aftertreatment device for a combustion engine, in particular of a motor vehicle

An exhaust gas aftertreatment device for a combustion engine includes an exhaust gas guide element that includes a dosage device for introducing a reduction agent into the guide element at a feed point and at least one interference element arranged upstream of the feed point, that introduces turbulences into the exhaust gas flow that is intermixed with the reduction agent. The guide element also includes a first guide portion, through which exhaust gas flows in a first flow direction, and a second guide portion, through which exhaust gas flows in a second flow direction that is opposite to the first flow direction. The first and second guide portions are fluidically connected with each other via a third guide portion, which redirects the exhaust gas from the first flow direction into the second flow direction. The feed point and the interference element are arranged in the third guide portion.

Exhaust gas aftertreatment device for a combustion engine

A mixing device for an exhaust system of a vehicle includes an inlet pipe, through which exhaust gas can enter a mixing chamber of the mixing device, and an outlet pipe for the exhaust gas to leave the mixing chamber. The inlet pipe and the outlet pipe form an angle. The mixing chamber includes an opening for an outlet of a dosage device, by means of which a reducing agent for exhaust gas aftertreatment is introducible into the mixing chamber. A baffle is arranged at a wall of the inlet pipe a baffle, which is induces a turbulence in the exhaust gas flow entering the mixing chamber.
