An electrochemical cell for a lithium ion battery has an anode comprising a silicon-based active material, a cathode comprising a cathode active material, and a capacity compensating electrolyte comprising a linear sulfite-based solvent and a lithium imide salt. A molar ratio of the lithium imide salt to the linear sulfite-based solvent is between 1:5 and 1:1.

An apparatus and system to compensate for phase noise in a 5G or 6G DFT-S-OFDM signal are described. An access port (AP)-specific orthogonal cover code (OCC) is applied to phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) symbols in each of a plurality of PTRS groups. The PTRS group are inserted between data symbols to form a data vector prior to perform transform precoding on the data vector and transmission to a UE. The UE extracts the PTRS symbols from different PTRS APs using the OCC specific to each AP. After extraction, the phase noise for each PTRS group is estimated and used to compensate the data symbols associated with the PTRS group.

Phase tracking reference signal for 6G wireless communication

Systems, methods, and baseband processors are provided to generate or process symbols in a synchronization subframe. In one example, a method includes selecting non-consecutive orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols in a synchronization subframe. A transmitter is instructed to transmit demodulation reference symbols (DM-RS) on identical first sets of subcarriers in respective OFDM symbols of the selected non-consecutive OFDM symbols for a Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH) using a same transmit beam, wherein a gap between two subcarriers in a respective set of the identical first sets of subcarriers is three subcarriers. The transmitter is instructed to transmit the PBCH on identical second sets of subcarriers in respective OFDM symbols in the selected non-consecutive OFDM symbols.

Frequency tracking for beamformed systems

A method is provided to generate and control transmission of reference symbols in a synchronization subframe, wherein a reference symbol includes reference values mapped to a block of K subcarriers. The method includes generating data corresponding to a basic subsequence of K&#x2212;R1&#x2212;R2 reference values, where R1 and R2 are integers such that 1&#x2264;R1+R2&#x3c;K, and mapping the data corresponding to the basic subsequence to an original range of K&#x2212;R1&#x2212;R2 contiguous subcarriers in the block such that there is a first set of R1 unmapped subcarriers above the original range of subcarriers and a second set of R2 unmapped subcarriers below the original range of subcarriers. Data corresponding to last R1 values in the basic subsequence is mapped to the first set of unmapped subcarriers. Data corresponding to first R2 values in the basic subsequence is mapped to the second set of unmapped subcarriers.

Described is an apparatus of a first User Equipment (UE) operable to communicate with on a wireless network. The apparatus may comprise a first circuitry, and a second circuitry. The first circuitry may be operable to establish a parameter set defining 5G Physical Downlink Control Channel (xPDCCH) transmission to the UE. The second circuitry may be operable to generate, for transmission to the UE, one or more messages including the parameter set.

Downlink control channel design for beamforming systems

A flossing device includes a housing that can be gripped as a handle. The housing has a hollow interior with first pawl teeth. A spool is placed inside the hollow interior and includes second and third pawl teeth disposed on opposite ends. The second pawl teeth, when engaged with the first pawl teeth with assistance from a spring, allow the spool to rotate in a first direction relative to the housing. The flossing device also includes a tail cap that has fourth teeth that engage the third pawl teeth to urge the spool in the first direction. The flossing device also includes a fork for suspending a length of floss received from the spool and used for flossing. The length of floss is tightened by rotation of the spool in the first direction. The length of floss can be replaced by rotation of the spool in a second direction opposite the first direction.
