A user-repairable mouse for an information handling system comprising a board-to-board connector comprising a sensor printed circuit board (PCB) connector first side bridged to a mouse main PCB connector and a user-replaceable mouse bottom cover having a user-replaceable mouse scroll wheel and scroll wheel encoder operatively coupled to the mouse main PCB having a mouse controller. The user-replaceable mouse bottom cover has a replaceable mouse sensor aperture to receive a user-replaceable mouse sensor assembly that includes an optical sensor operatively coupled to a sensor PCB and an optical sensor lens, wherein the sensor PCB includes sensor board side connector contacts for removable coupling to a first side of a sensor PCB connector on the board-to-board connector, and a user-replaceable mouse top cover operatively coupled with the user-replaceable mouse bottom cover.

An information handling system mouse includes a position sensor that detects movement of the mouse and reports the movement to generate cursor movement at plural displays interfaced with the information handling system. The mouse automatically changes between a first position resolution and a second position resolution to generate cursor movement based upon a resolution of a display at which the cursor is presented. As the cursor moves between each of plural displays in response to mouse movement, the mouse automatically changes the position resolution so that cursor movement relative to the mouse movement remains consistent even where the cursor is presented at displays having different display resolutions.

A keyboard of an information handling system includes keyboard (RF) transmitter/receiver that provides range information for a mobile device paired to the keyboard RF transmitter/receiver. A keyboard controller is coupled to the keyboard RF transmitter/receiver and is responsive to the range information indicating the mobile device is out of range to disable key input data of the keyboard. After the key input data is disabled, the keyboard controller enables the key input data responsive to the range information indicating the mobile device has come back into range. The keyboard RF transmitter/receiver communicates with a host RF transmitter/receiver over a first RF channel and communicates with the mobile device over a second RF channel. The keyboard controller enables the key input data responsive to a successful override of the keyboard input data being disabled. The override is a predetermined key sequence and/or a valid finger print.

A first wireless speaker and microphone device paired with an information handling system comprising a microphone, speaker, wireless radio system for conducting a first pairing with the information handling system for wireless communications, and memory for storing a pairing profile for the first pairing. Disclosed is a covering of a fan unit of an information handling system. The covering contains a bottom covering and a top covering. The bottom covering contains i) copper and an first aluminum alloy, or ii) 10 wt. % to 50 wt. % of a thermally conductive plastic, and 50 wt. % to 90 wt. % of a post-consumer-recycled (PCR) plastic and/or biodegradable plastic. The top covering contains copper and a second aluminum alloy. The bottom covering houses a motor and blades of a fan of the fan unit, the top covering abuts against the bottom covering, and the fan is positioned in a space formed between the bottom and top covering. Fan unit containing the covering, and an information handling system containing the fan unit is also disclosed.
