This application provides a base station function deployment method and device. The base station includes at least a first radio center system RCS and a first radio remote system RRS. The method includes: obtaining a selected split manner that matches an available transmission resource between the first RRS and the first RCS, where the selected split manner is used to split functions of the base station into a first function group and a second function group; and deploying, on the first RCS, a base station function that is included in the first function group and that is determined based on the selected split manner, and deploying, on the first RRS, a base station function that is included in the second function group and that is determined based on the selected split manner.

Base station function deployment method and device

A base station includes multiple edge nodes and a central node. The edge nodes are configured to perform communication with a user equipment, and execute baseband processing and mutual conversion between baseband data and radio data, in which the multiple edge nodes belong to one or more edge node groups, and each edge node group includes at least one edge node. The central node is configured to perform communication with the multiple edge nodes, manage the multiple edge nodes, and perform resource sharing so that resources are shared by the multiple edge nodes. The base station is divided into two levels of architecture, namely, a central node and an edge node, and the central node implements resource sharing so that resources are shared by the edge nodes, so that a resource sharing degree in the base station is enhanced.

A multi-mode base station and a method for sending/receiving signals thereof are provided. In the base station, each base-band single-board is connected to a corresponding radio frequency (RF) unit through a multi-mode exchange bus, and the base-band single-boards of different modes are intermixed by using the compatibility of the exchange bus with in-phase/quadrature (IQ) data of various modes. Synchronization information, such as frame numbers required by various modes, forms a synchronization burst through multiplexed framing. Meanwhile, by using the same system clock, the synchronization burst and system clock are transmitted to the base-band single-boards of various modes through a set of synchronization clock buses. The main control and transmission functions are uniformly provided for each base-band single-board in the base station by a shared common module. The filling and synchronization of wireless IQ data of various modes are realized according to common-multiple relation mapping.

The present invention discloses a distributed base station system as well as its networking method and base band unit. In this system, the base band unit (BBU) and RF unit (RFU) of the base station are separated, and the RFU is equipped with base band RF interfaces for interconnecting the BBU and transmitting data information, thereby forming the base station. Based on the separation of the BBU from the RFU, the BBU capacity is further divided at the same time, and every unit is also arranged independently. The BBU networking and capacity expansion may be achieved with capacity expansion interfaces and base band RF interfaces provided by BBU interface units in flexible and convenient ways.
