In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a measurement configuration for a service interruption measurement regarding a handover of the UE from a source cell to a target cell. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may generate a report for one or more two-step random access channel (RACH) procedures between the UE and a base station (BS), wherein the RACH report includes at least one of an indication of a quantity of message A (MsgA) payloads transmitted during the one or more two-step RACH procedures on each beam of one or more beams associated with the BS, an indication of one or more parameters associated with each MsgA communication transmitted during the one or more two-step RACH procedures, or an indication of whether a respective signal strength for each beam, associated with the one or more two-step RACH procedures, satisfies a signal strength threshold. The UE may transmit the report to the BS. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Two-step random access channel signaling

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a sensing configuration associated with a sensing mode, the sensing configuration indicating one or more parameter values that the UE is to use to perform sensing of objects within a detectable range of the UE, and the sensing configurating further indicating a format for providing a sensing report according to the sensing mode. The UE may receive one or more sensing waveforms based at least in part on the sensing configuration. The UE may transmit, to the base station according to the sensing mode, a sensing report indicating information associated with the one or more sensing waveforms.

Sensing mode configuration for wireless sensing

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for a user equipment (UE) entering a dormant state with respect to a secondary cell group (SCG) of a node network (SN) having a primary serving cell (PSCell). In one aspect, the UE may maintain a parameter set for at least the PSCell while the UE is in the dormant state with respect to the SCG. For example, the UE may receive a parameter change message from either the SN or a master network (MN) and transmit a parameter change acknowledgment to either the SN or the MN. The parameter change message may be transmitted as one or both of a downlink control information (DCI) or media access control (MAC) control element (CE). The UE may transmit physical layer measurements to the SN based on the parameter set.

User equipment (UE) physical layer measurement reporting in secondary cell group (SCG) dormancy

In an aspect, a UE receives, while a secondary cell group (SCG) is associated with a dormant state, at least one downlink transmit beam associated with at least one cell of the SCG. The UE determines, while the SCG is associated with the dormant state, an uplink transmit beam for a primary secondary cell (PSCell) of the SCG based on one or more of a spatial relation indication (SRI), whether there is beam correspondence between the at least one downlink transmit beam and the uplink transmit beam, a default uplink transmit beam, or a combination thereof. The UE transmits a signal related to a measurement between the UE and the one or more SCells of the SCG on the determined uplink transmit beam.

Beam management for a secondary cell group in a dormant state

Methods, systems, and devices for providing feedback about radio link failure (RLF) events that includes information about directional beams. A user equipment (UE) may experience an RLF event and lose connectivity with a network. After the UE reestablish a radio resource control (RRC) connection with the network, the UE may transmit an RLF report that include information about directional beams, information about a master node and a secondary node in a dual-connectivity procedure, information associated conditional handover procedures, or information about service time interruptions, or a combination thereof. One or more base stations may be configured to transmit at least portions of the information in the RLF report to other base stations as part of a message that may be an example of an RLF indication or a handover report. The message may be transmitted over an X2 interface or an Xn interface.

Techniques for communicating mobility information

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently transmitting data and control information in a first RACH message to a base station as part of a two-step RACH procedure. In particular, rather than or in addition to transmitting data and control information in a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) in the first RACH message, a user equipment (UE) may transmit the data and control information along with a RACH preamble in a RACH occasion in the first RACH message (e.g., when the number of bytes of data or control information to be transmitted is low). Using these techniques, in some instances, the UE may transmit the data and control information in a first RACH message without transmitting the PUSCH, and the overhead associated with transmitting the PUSCH may be eliminated.

Methods, computer program products, and apparatuses for network slices based on master cell group (MCG) or secondary cell group (SCG) configurations are provided. An example method may include transmitting, to a base station, a registration request comprising first single network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI) associated with a first network slice and second S-NSSAI associated with a second network slice. The method may include receiving, from the base station, a registration accept message associated with the first network slice and the second network slice. The first network slice may be associated with a first priority higher than a second priority associated with the second network slice. The first network slice may be served by an MCG and the second network slice may be served by an SCG. The method may include initiating a first inactivity timer for the MCG and a second inactivity timer for the SCG.

Fast slicing switching via SCG suspension or activation

Aspects described herein relate to requesting suspending of a data session of a first when a device capable of communicating over multiple subscriptions switches from an active communication state if the first network to an active communication state in a second network. The device can also request resuming the data session based on switching back to active communication state with the first network.

Techniques for managing sessions in multiple-subscription wireless communications

Wireless communications systems and methods related to beam failure detection (BFD) in a dormancy bandwidth part (BWP) are provided. A user equipment (UE) determines to operate in a dormancy mode for a cell of a wireless communication network. The UE operates in the dormancy mode for the cell of the wireless communication network, where the operating in the dormancy mode includes performing a beam failure detection (BFD) in a dormancy bandwidth part (BWP) based on a configuration. The configuration may include a control resource set (CORESET) configuration for the dormancy BWP.

In some aspects, a wireless communication device may transmit a resource status request requesting load information related to load balancing between the wireless communication device and one or more other wireless communication devices. In other aspects, a User Equipment (UE) may receive a Radio Resource Control (RRC) configuration including a set of target cells for a conditional handover procedure and load information of the target cells. Mobility load balancing in wireless communication network

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may operate in dual connectivity with a master node (MN) that has a capability to operate in a particular frequency band range (e.g., a range above 6 gigahertz (GHz)) and a secondary node (SN). The MN or SN may transmit an indication to an SN or MN, respectively, that includes sets of frequency bands in which the UE may measure, including frequency bands within the particular frequency band range. The SN or MN that received the indication may update a gap pattern for at least one of the frequency bands within the particular frequency band range and transmit an updated gap configuration to the MN or SN that transmitted the indication. Additionally, the MN or SN may choose fixed gap pattern configuration roles or may both dynamically identify gap patterns.
