A display device comprising a plurality of ordinary pixels, an auxiliary pixel, a frame and a driving chip is provided. The auxiliary pixel includes a plurality of first color sub-pixels. The frame is configured to define an active area in a non-rectangular shape. The plurality of ordinary pixels and the auxiliary pixel are arranged in the active area. The driving chip is configured to receive display data, wherein the display data includes a first color grayscale value configured to assign first target luminance of first color light of the auxiliary pixel. The driving chip is configured to generate one or more processed first color grayscale values configured to assign the luminance of the plurality of first color sub-pixels, according to the first color grayscale value, and the sum of the luminance of the plurality of first color sub-pixels is substantially equal to the first target luminance.

Display device with non-rectangular active area and pixel structure thereof

A pixel circuit includes a light emitting element, a first local light emitting switch, a second local light emitting switch, a common light emitting switch, and a driving block. The light emitting element has a first light emitting part and a second light emitting part. The first local light emitting switch is coupled between a first power terminal and the driving block. The second local light emitting switch is coupled between a second power terminal and the driving block. The common light emitting switch is coupled between the driving block and the light emitting element. The driving block provides a first driving current and a second driving current to the first light emitting part and the second light emitting part respectively based on a first frame gate signal and a second frame gate signal; a direction of the first driving current is different from that of the second driving current.

Pixel circuit

A display device includes pixel driving circuits. A first pixel driving circuit includes a light emitting element, first and second driving units and a control unit. The light emitting element emits light according to a current. The first driving unit generates the current. The second driving unit drives the first driving unit to adjust the current according to a first scanning signal. The control unit controls the first driving unit to adjust the current according to a first light emitting signal. The first scanning signal has first slope to third slopes during first to third periods, respectively. The first to third slopes are different from each other. The first light emitting signal has an enable voltage level during the first and third periods, and has a disable voltage level during the second period. The first to third periods are arranged continuously in order.

Pixel driving circuit, display device and operating method thereof

A display apparatus including at least one display panel is provided. The display panel includes a substrate, pad structures, and openings. The substrate has a first and second surface opposite to each other. The pad structures are disposed on the first surface of the substrate. Each pad structure has a connection pad, a conductive pattern layer, and an auxiliary conductive layer electrically connected to each other. The auxiliary conductive layer is overlapped with the conductive pattern layer and the connection pad along a normal direction of the first surface. The openings are disposed on the substrate and penetrate the first and second surfaces of the substrate. The openings and the pad structures are alternately arranged. The substrate also has a third surface defining each opening and connected to the first and second surfaces. The third surface is not conductive. A method of fabricating the display apparatus is also provided.

Display apparatus and method of fabricating the same

A manufacturing method of a display panel includes providing a substrate having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface; forming a high-shielding position layer on the first surface, wherein the light-shielding positioning layer has at least one first alignment pattern; forming a transparent material layer on the second surface; forming a photoresist layer on the transparent material layer; performing an exposure process, such that a light beam passes through the at least one first alignment pattern to penetrate through the substrate and the transparent material layer to the photoresist layer; performing a developing process to pattern the photoresist layer and form a patterned photoresist layer; and performing an etching process to pattern the transparent positioning layer having at least one second alignment pattern. In a direction perpendicular to the substrate, at least one first alignment pattern overlaps with at least one second alignment pattern.

Manufacturing method of display panel

A light-emitting diode display device and a light-emission control method thereof are provided. The light-emitting diode display device includes a timing controller, multiple display pixels, and a scanning circuit. The display pixels form multiple display rows. The scanning circuit generates multiple scan signals and multiple light-emission signals that respectively drive the display rows. During a first data-writing time period of a first frame period, the timing controller provides multiple writing data to be respectively written into the display rows. During a light-emitting time period, the scanning circuit drives each of the light-emission signals to generate multiple pulses periodically according to a set period to drive the corresponding display rows. The light-emitting time period is after the first data-writing time period and before a second data-writing time period of a second frame period ends.

Light-emitting diode display device and light-emission control method thereof

A driving method applicable to a display device, in which the display device includes multiple pixel circuits, and the method includes: adjusting multiple control signals according to a first display data such that the pixel circuits generate a first frame; receiving a second display data generated after the display data; and adjusting the control signals according to a time duration of the first frame such that the pixel circuits generate a second frame, where brightness for each of the pixel circuits is proportional to a duty ratio of one of the corresponding control signals, and an increment for the duty ratio of one of the corresponding control signals in the second frame is negatively correlated to a difference between a ratio of a preset time period to the time duration of the first frame and a ratio of the preset time period to the time duration of the second frame.

Display device and driving method of the same

A display apparatus and a pixel circuit thereof are provided. The pixel circuit is configured to drive a light-emitting diode (LED). The pixel circuit includes a driving transistor, a switch, a data writing circuit, and a voltage selector. The switch is turned on during a data-writing time period, and cut-off during a laser time period. The data writing circuit transports a data voltage to a control terminal of the driving transistor during the data-writing time period. During the data-writing time period, a second terminal of the LED receives a first reference voltage, and during the laser time period, the second terminal of the LED receives a second reference voltage. The first reference voltage and the second reference voltage are different.

A device substrate comprising a substrate, a first pad, a second pad, a plurality of first power lines, a plurality of second power lines, and a plurality of control units is provided. The first pad is disposed on the first side of the device substrate. The second pad is disposed on the second side of the device substrate. The second side is opposite the first side. The first power lines are electrically connected to the first pad. The second power lines are electrically connected to the second pad. A display panel and a pixel circuit of the display panel are provided. The pixel circuit includes a driving transistor and a light-emitting time length modulator. The driving transistor has a control terminal receiving a pulse width control signal and an amplitude control signal, and the driving transistor generates a driving signal. In a first time period, the light-emitting time length modulator modulates a time length of a plurality of second time periods for providing the driving signal to a light-emitting device according to a light-emitting time control signal.

Display panel

A display device including a driving chip and a pixel array is provided. The driving chip is configured to provide multiple emission control signals according to a data input. A pixel array is coupled with the driving chip. M pixel circuits of the pixel array are configured to emit light respectively in M periods, and M is a positive integer. In a corresponding period of the M periods, the driving chip determines a first time length which one of the multiple emission control signals has a first voltage level, and one of the M pixel circuits emits light, in the corresponding period, for a light emission time length corresponding to the first time length.

Driving chip and display device having the same

A pixel circuit includes a storage capacitor, a first switch, and a second switch. The first switch is electrically connected to a first end of the storage capacitor, and configured to provide a data voltage to the first end of the storage capacitor according to a gate signal. The second switch is electrically connected between the first end of the storage capacitor and a second end of the storage capacitor, and configured to receive a first operating voltage from the second end of the storage capacitor and provide the first operating voltage to the first end of the storage capacitor.

Pixel circuit and display device

A display device comprising an active area and a surrounding area is provided. The active area includes a common electrode for receiving a common voltage. The surrounding area is located at a side of the active area, and the surrounding area includes a shielding metal layer and a surrounding circuit. The shielding metal layer is electrically isolated from the common electrode and receives a shielding voltage. The surrounding circuit and a first shielding metal are overlapped in a vertical projection direction, and the common voltage is power-isolated from the shielding voltage.

The light-shielding positioning layer is disposed on the first layer and has at least one first alignment pattern.
